Probably before your time PC, but in the book Suedehead, Joe Hawkins and his gang "The Marylebone Martyrs" used sharpened umbrellas as weapons to stab other football fans.
And he used his to stab a Chelsea fan in the leg, so it wasn't a bad idea really !!
