They are scared.

They weren't cheers of a normal celebration, they were cheers of relief. This meant a lot more to them to win against us, than it did to get to the final of the "tin pot cup" as they once called it, y'know...that meaningless trophy nobody wants to win apparently?

The scoreline could have been a lot different if it wasn't for a fantastic save from Space Cake Man (Van Der Sar) and the red card offence of Smackhead blocking off Carlos / the referee failing to punish smackhead for also kicking Tevez's leg in the box. Sure they had more chances and Shay was superb again (at times).

We're not far away and they'll be other occasions like this in the not too distant future. Relax and look at the wider picture. Sure it hurts, I'm gutted aswell, but end of the day our future is bright while they have £716,000,000 debt hanging over their heads with average players (Team Rooney FC) and aging players (Giggs / Scholes / VDS) and players wanting to leave. It's a waiting game - it's when, not if. They know it, we know it, everyone in the league knows that they're on a downward spiral - their position, in my books, is a lie and it'll be confirmed when Chelsea win the league.

Come on ladies and gents, we've got the F.A. Cup and we've got the fourth position to have a good go at. Lets move onwards and upwards eh? Chin up because the lads need us on Sunday!

Agree with the comments about the F.A.cup and fourth place, however i'm just not so convinced about the evil empire crumbling in the near future.

Why not? It's got to come to an end sometime and it's widely acknowledged that they are not the team they used to be. They've got old players, they cannot afford to replace them without selling their best players (Rooney, Vidic). If Giggs, Scholes and Van Der Sar retire they are goosed because the players they've got to replace them in their positions wouldn't even get on our bench at the moment! (Nani, Anderson, Foster).

Without Rooney they really are nothing...the old stallwarts that are giggs scholes neville and gimpy will be done in a few years...they will need to offer rooney more than 150 grand to keep him...

can they afford it.

Hey don't get me wrong i'd love to see the bastards sink without a trace.Just think that some kind of investment or perhaps wealthy consortium will take them over before long.

one things for sure, the gap has closed now that those rag cunts are worried, a one man team, Phelan said on MOTD that was their best performance of the season, well if it was they wont win anything this season, they as Liverpool, are on the decline. its a slow process of decline but IT IS happening.

For £1.1 billion?

Then you've got to get in new players, renew contracts, pay staff wages, probably replace Whiskey Nose etc.

Tick Tock, Tick Tock.

The debt grows every day, wealthy consortiums would have known for a long time about the debt yet did nothing...why would they wait for the debt to grow by many millions b4 putting in an offer ?? thats not how it works..

you obtain something for the cheapest price not the most expensive...and by god are they expensive..No money to be made, especially if Twatinis plans come into force... all the revenue would have to be spent on players...not on paying back investors.

Cannot see anyone investing and writing off £700M debt, and if that isn't reduced they will be spending on interest payments what they previously spent on players.
