Last night I said Mancini out, I'm sorry now

now in the cold light of day I take it back, I don't want anybody sacked, I don't want anyone out, we need to stick together we're just having a bad run, the own goal summed up the way things are going, if we beat West Brom
we're back, it's that simple, none of us want any kind of kneejerk reaction that would be detrimental to our great club
you might be too late mate dunno if its mischief ive just been told he,s gone just awaiting confirmation...i personally hope not.

I can see us losing at WBA and then the derby being the biggest in years for us.

If we sack Mancini this season, I'll lose the very last bit of faith I have in Cook.

FOR WHAT IT’S WORTH.

For what its worth I have thought long and hard about just why we are attracting such a negative press...predominantly from the Murdoch empire.... and have come to the conclusion that there can only be one real reason for their concern that the cozy sky 4 cartel could be split up.
For years sky have been able to control these clubs and have had them do their bidding in terms of controlling the whereabouts of TV rights etc The premier league was set up on the back of a threat from these clubs to join a European super league and Sky has flourished as a result of this relationship. The problem for us is that our owners are rich enough to genuinely be able to dictate to Sky and ANYONE else exactly what terms they expect to do business and will not be dependant on the sky deal for their income and that is what really scares the Murdoch Empire.

It really is very simple.....The Mr. Big behind all this is a Premier League manager who, shall we say ,doesn’t manage too far away.....wants unrest at the club due to an up coming fixture....makes a phone call to a trusted hack........!!!!! You don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to work this one out....!!!

Just remember that Ferguson will not speak to the BBC, he will only allow certain reporters into his news conferences, two were handpicked for the UNICEF afternoon, during his Rooney conference Piers Morgan reported how he launched into a tirade against one reporter which was never televised. Since United's 'poor start' they have now had two massively fortunate refereeing decisions, Hernandez is a new god (despite scoring in only one of the first 10 premiership games) and the rag top papers are now reporting City unrest.

A large part of the media is desperate for City to fail and they are doing everything they can to undermine confidence at the club and upset the supporters with the Man u loving Daily Mail and the Sun being the principle culprits.

Let’s get things into perspective. We have suffered 3 defeats. One against Arsenal where we were unfortunate to have Boyata dismissed after 4 minutes (would Clattenberk have been so eager to brandish a red card had it been Ferdinand or Vidic at Owed Trafford I wonder?), 1 at Sunderland (extra time pen) and, another at Wolves, the sort of defeat that any top club can suffer from time to time.

This is just what the anti City media have been praying for and their reaction was sadly predictable.

Just for the record here are some of the stories from the last 4 to 6 weeks concerning City players:-

1) Yaya Toure wants to return to Barcelona.
2) Balotelli wants to play for Napoli.
3) Adam Johnson is fed up because he's spending too much time on the bench.
4) Carlos Tevez is fed up with City and is not enjoying his football. He'll probably retire any time now.
5) City players are out partying. (Don't players from other clubs go out for a drink occasionally I ask?)
6) David Silva has not settled in and may join Barcelona in January according to the Daily Mail.
7) Nigel de Jong is a thug and should be kicked out of football.

Now consider all of these stories and ask yourself whether they're all true or whether it's simply scurrilous reporting. I know what I think. The media are a disgrace and are clearly hell bent on upsetting our apple cart.

I'd take any story about unrest at City with a large pinch of salt.

How many times do we have to read the same garbage? Every article ends up with the same content about bust-up etc. etc. There is only one problem at this club and its how do the players deal with being the most hated team in the country? They are under a tremendous amount of pressure that is not the positive type; it's very hard to deal with. When you want something very badly and everyone is against you the pressure builds and becomes negative energy. I wouldn’t want Mancinis job for all the tea in china or all the money in Abu Dhabi.
The money they earn does not make them emotionless or able to deal with constant criticism from everywhere, After reading all the comments from the last couple of days it seems the team or the manager cannot even rely on their own fans for support but count me out, I'm still an optimist no matter how the rest choose to behave. I will not let the media, the rags or the pundits control my mind.
I have never seen a club with so much hatred and criticism aimed at it and I find it very disappointing that the fans are jumping on the bandwagon too.

Come on fellow City supporters if anyone is entitled to have a say it is us, but not to provide the media with ammunition. Get behind the team and don't let these people win.

CITY TILL I DIE

i dont buy any of this 'whats another manager going to achieve'.

what is having mancini in charge for 5-10 years going to achieve? we play crap football, for a team with so many defensive midfielders we have less steel than arsenal, the players plainly don't like him, our best player in tevez doesnt agree with him, his subs are shocking, he has no plan 'B'....i could go on...mancini is not the answer

mate, were getting hammered by the media as it is, so now would be perfect timing to get rid of him. now if mancini had the full backing of the squad and we had this seige mentality about us then I would back mancini, but we dont, we seem to be imploding day by day, no sign of seige mentality
things looked pretty good a WEEK AND A HALF ago when we were 2 pts off chelsea and 3 clear of the rags and arsenal....we've had 2 bad results in the league....give your fuckin head a wobble. we'll see how mancini performs the next few weeks now won't we with him having a pretty much full strength squad available. a week from now we could be looking at 3 straight wins and everything looks brighter again that's how football works.......are you quite young?

dont you think that mancini should be winning games with some player missing? given the money he has spent and the team he has brought in? im 24, season ticket holder for 14 years, get to about 10 away's a season too, so im not some 15 year old lad

Who are we going to replace him with mate?
The only person i would love to have is Jose,we all would, but that aint gonna happen, the only other person who i think would do a good job is Gus Hiddink (spelling) who we would prob go for!

Saying that,i think Bobby is just as good and will do it for us,sacking him would make us look stupid and put us back to fuk knows where!

jose
hiddink
sven
harry redknapp

Seriously pal, there is not one thing in this post that I could possibly agree with. Every single thing that you are saying here is wrong.

why dont you agree? so you think the lads are behind him?

Bluelol - don't want to copy your whole post in, as it is lengthy. However, I agree with every word of it. I've said something in another thread about my suspicions regarding our 'free' press and Ferguson, and also the fact that I don't trust any Murdoch outlet as far as I could throw it. It's just a shame that they will probably win out, as they have clout.

bluelol, that was a quality post. the amount of people i've had chirping away at me over the last month about "the crisis at city" is staggering. when i ask what crisis, i always get the same response - "well it says in the sun that............"

one thing that baffles me is why city are sitting back and allowing all this shite to be printed. if we need a siege mentality then the 1st to be cast out would be the sun.

Lets see how you feel 5 days from now

why cant you just go away and talk about your own club

Bluelol,
Your post sums up the situation perfectly, I am relieved to find that not every-one on here falls for the propaganda put out in the press. Can't understand why anyone reads the Sun, although they did report once that a double decker bus had been found on the moon!

Not yet, not yet.

We need to stick together during times like these, knee jeck reactions will only destablise the club even further and give the media another stick to beat us with.

every word spot on mate,
i must see different games than some as our football is shocking, and can someone explain the tactics behind 11 men back in the box for a corner, beyond me
