We all know it wasnt a good one......we were underpar and missed the likes of swp and bellamy and i dont think de jong was fully fit

We played with fear due to the threat that we all predicted (including MH) of lenon vs Sylvinio and the height of crouch

MH tried to set his team up to combat lennon (by putting Barry out left) but there was nothing he could do about crouch...none of our defenders are big enough to cope with him....richards is about the strongest in the air and even with his spring he couldnt out jump crouch

I dont think there was much more with the personnal available MH could do....

we played nice controlled football for the first 30 mins os so but after the goal went in we were always going to be chasing the game and it was enivitable that crouch and defoe and lennon would get moe space

MH as well as all of us on here know we didnt perform well......he has said that in his after match interview...first touch wasnt good enough, final ball wasnt good enough...it was just one of those nights.....the performance last night was the worst I have seen all season (though admittedly Ive not seen them all)

One posiitve was Richards I thought.....despite being outjumped by crouch for the first goal (there are many defenders who wont be out jumped by crouch!) i thought he had a good game...trying to ge forward but some of his tackles were great last night

One game doesnt make a season andwe should remember that we still have over half a season left and a lot of points to gain... and other teams especially spurs and liverpool will still definately drop points

If MH doesnt get top by the end of the season he will rightly or wrongly be ssacked

ntil them we should get behind the team and the manager.....calling for his head is knee jerk reaction and will benefit noone

yes it was a bad performance but these things happen

the MH out brigade are using at a reason to get rid of him however...tey have been waiting for us to lose to do it

this is what is disappointing (along with the display last night) but we have mostly played well this season and are still in a good position with plenty to play for....yet some of our fans are behaving like spoilt kids!

Once again, everyones fault except for his own which was spot on in his eyes.

Kompany?

If our defenders can't cope against Crouch then hughes should have signed players who would be able to cope with the likes of him. They couldn't cope with Kevin Davies last week either. Hughes had a year to assess the squad, he knew our best players are on the small side (Robbie, Ireland) and he's obviously a big fan of SWP. He knew we needed a couple of centre halves but instead of getting big boys in to give the little fellas a bit of backbone in comes Kolo Toure who can't win a header and gets bullied by physical centre halves.

i read he said the performance wasnt good enough...that says to me he is criticising himslef and the players

He said the game plan was fine, just the players didn't execute it.

kompany isnt a centre half and is no better in the air than the rest

MH new the problem and tried to buy terry...but that failed......i think terry and toure would have been his pairing....lescott would have played left back

the game plan was fine...he did what we all would have done to try and combat the main two threats...lennon was covered by barry

how would you ahve combated crouch??????

the gam eplan in the first 30 mins worked.....we played some neat stuff and were trying to find a way through and looked as threatening as they did......but then they socred and after that with abrry and ireland so occupied on the wings covering back it left the fron 3 isolated....MH tried to change it and again made the changes that anyone on here would have done,,.....and it didnt work

you cannt legislate for player having off days....tevez yesterday was frustrating...good one moment, frustrating the next

ade was isolated and ireland was having to help richrads out against defoe who was running the right channel

what would you have done moomba cause as far as i can see without deep analysis i wouldnt have doen anything different
