I have no doubt that city will sign at least one big name come January, I know it's hard waiting when you know the calibre of players we can potentially have coming through the door, any deal that is already concluded unfortunately will not be announced. We have not even had a sniff of who were interested in let alone that we may well have a pre-contractual agreement or advanced talks with. If you want to take a positive look at Galliani's comments on Agger today, they guy is never short of words, I know he isn't going to come out all guns blazing and rule us out of any approach for Kaka, neither manager or president of a club are especially as they know financially we will crumble them, just try and show a little patience and if and when it happens then we can reap the rewards

there is a guy on the MUEN website that is claiming that one superstar player is wrapped up already.....and another will probably be done in the next two weeks.....

the one that is done he hints at NOT being david Villa!!!!!

the guy goes by the name of zim zimmer.....

he also mentions diara as a done deal and maybe santa cruz as well with 2 others unknown

he seems pretty certain but you just cannt tell....could all be Bulls**t!!

hes coming, hes not because his agent didnt say anything at all in an interview, oldham blue says its done again so everybody thinks the deal is done and that the announcement will be in january.

just dug out the post on MUEN site and here is the transfer bit

..... so one genuine superstar already, not even jan, the second to follow within 2 weeks, and these are facts campers. 6 signings to be made, 2 experienced prem players sewn up in Diarra and Santa baby, 1 world superstar sewn up, another in the next 2 weeks, leaving 2 spots....... knock it all you like, i'll just finish with good luck sparky for the second half of the season, fancying us to be 5/6 by mid feb.

The obvious one being Villa or Kaka. So he must be talking about Torres. But Liverpool wouldn't sell him. So maybe Messi?

Folly bit I think was Zim's response to the MEN doom and gloom merchants I wouldn't read anything into that

i don't know; even a flat denial isn't necessarily meaningful. all the stories are interesting but i don't feel like we'll know anything for sure until something's announced on the official club site.

i'm interested in all the stories but i won't feel confident that i know whether he'll be here until he signs. or feb starts and he hasn't.

it seems Oldham may actually have some info, but even if his info is spot on a lot can happen between the time a deal is done in principle and done in fact (sometimes that works out in our favor--remember when 'binho to chelsk was a done deal??)

as for the 'sewn up' superstar that poster mentioned on MUEN, the non-obvious ones include Terry, Cambiasso, Ribery, Aguero and Benzema. and pretty much everyone else. the ONLY obvious ones are Kaka and Villa, as they're the ones that have gotten the most press. Buffon? is he an obvious one or not? dunno. even if what that guy said is spot on, we still don't know what we'll find under the christmas tree.

i know its a world star thats signed but i did want it to be either villa or kaka! Wouldnt argue having torres or someone like that tho!
