Hi,
I´m spanish and a Valencia´s supporter. 1st of all, I apologize for my English.
I couldn´t help to read (almost) this whole thread. I understand your excitement in signing David, although I hope this won´t happen.
I just wanted to explain what I know from Spain:
-The only spanish source that have clearly mentioned Villa´s transfer is Marca: They are not a reliable source. They like rumours and have been messing up the whole Summer (I´d trust AS better, or Superdeporte, at least when comparing with Marca).
-It´s true that Valencia CF has important financial problems (although they are not the only ones in Spain).
Vicente Soriano has admited that he can´t ensure that they won´t sell important players. Names have not been mentioned. Unai Emery wants them to sell people like Zigic, Helguera or Hildebrand, to try to make the team "smaller". JoaquÃn could be one to be transferred as well, as they tried to sell him in Summer, and he´s considered important by Valencia CF (so, when speaking about "important players" they are also thinking of JoaquÃn, and even Vicente).
- I don´t think it can be said that the Davids won´t be sold, but the club would do it only as a last measure. Only if they don´t get the money in another way (including selling other players). Remember that they are the two main players here and Valencia won´t have much money left for buying other players in their place (and they are already short in strikers).
-In case they need to sell them, then Man City would have many possibilities: Regarding spanish rules, a player of la Liga that has already played 5 official matches with his current team, can´t be transferred to another La Liga team. That said, Silva can be transferred to RM (they are interested in him), because he has just come back from an injury and have only played 3 matches> I can ensure that he has been training extra to be able to play some minutes in the next two matches = they want to ensure that there´s not possibility of selling him in Spain.
- Villa can only be transferred to a foreign league= Premiers League. David Villa doesn´t want to leave, he´d only do it if the club decides it is absolutely necessary.
- Tamargo: I don´t know him personally, but I think he was quite honest when last Summer´s hysteria (anyway, he has practically raised David Villa, so he would think of other things apart from money).
- Valencia received 40 m. Euro yesterday from sponsors and other sources. Unibet has just anounced that they will be in charge of Valencia´s sponsorship for the rest of the year -The former sponsor "Valencia Experience" still in debts money to ValenciaCF -.
- Hildebrand has just been sold out to Hoffenheim (I don´t know quantity yet).
- They have a possible buyer for the terrains the club are trying to sell.
Sorry for the big text. Only to clarify that a transfer of the main stars of the team won´t be discussed unless everything else fails, so the Club would wait until the last day.
