One of the most interesting things for me about this deal, is the lack of protest from either the player or valencia about moving on

Every day I get a little bit surer that Villa will be playing in sky blue in January.

While inclined to believe you mate I have not once read anything in any paper that has stated 'Such a player will be joining such a club becase Oldham blue says so', we all want it to be true but until it is officially announced you coming on here and saying the above will not stop the hysteria or doubters!

i just can't get my head around this "coming in the summer" idea - surely to god if we are prepared to pay big dough, and all up front, then City are the ones calling the shots.

While I cannot disagree with your point the only logic I can make that If the summer signing is Kaka then maybe the only reason we are letting him stayis because In his interview the other week he went on about how much he is looking forward to linking up with Beckham, sounds daft I know but maybe City are allowing him to fulfil that ambition and have a proper send off after the season, then to join us before anyone else can try to prize him away. (just an idea)

Well i do believe these stories for 2 reasons.

1) Valencia havent denied it
2) milan havent denied it ! we all know that galiani cannot keep quiet and would have dismissed it already

Good point about Galliani, bobmcfc. During the summer he couln't keep quiet about Ronaldinho. Hmmm (strokes chin), very interesting!

Good point about Galliani, bobmcfc. During the summer he couln't keep quiet about Ronaldinho. Hmmm (strokes chin), very interesting!

Clubs are very quick to dismiss speculation that is untrue when it involves star players, especially if the fans are getting twitchy about it.

also, if david villa would only come if kaka came then if i was villa i would have to have assurances that he was coming immediately. i wouldnt believe 100% that he was coming in the summer as anything could happen from now till then, nor would i pay £45m for a player and let him stay on loan at his current club as that would TAKE THE PISS

Where are we in terms of this deal because over the weekend it was said two things were to happen:

a. agent to fly in Tuesday
b. deal could be announced by friday

is this still the case?

So...er,....who's getting married? There's got to be something about this Kaka business we're not seeing. Anyway, what happened to "ono", was he banned? I know he was banned from the Red & Black Forum for that Kaka business.

I'm here. Why would i be banned?lol.

That Kaka business on r&b forum was clearly a wind up. Somebody on ManCityfans.net ripped it off and tried to pass it off as a real story. So then some people got wrong end of the stick and presumed i was widning up fellow blues......which obviously wasn't the case.


Anyway on to Villa....

I can't wait. It has to be true, there are too many people saying it's going to happen. Same with Kaka.
