Re: David Villa Done Deal!

Would be absolutely estatic if we brought in David Villa, seems to be a perfect fit for our team, more so than Kaka to me

If he's not wanting to come alone, he can bring Timo Hildebrand with him, just got released and a veteran GK on the cards for a free would be great for the younger GK's (provided we send Kasper out on loan again!)

sdavros mate do you really think villa would come to city.

Fuck knows Fran. All logical thought would lead me to say no, but with the money being bandied about it's impossible to tell. The stance I'm going to take on all this transfer speculation is to sit back, relax, take it all with a pinch of salt and see what happens. In saying that I will be a sleep depraved manic depressive by the time the transfer window comes around :)

you'd hope the work is progressing behind the scenes. I think the money has been used wisely so far, i.e getting players on better contracts, upgrading the training facilities, a small facelift on the stadium. So there has been some movement.

As regards Hughes and Cooks stance on the transfer market, it makes perfect sense to keep everything quiet so as not to build expectation, unrealistic or otherwise amongst fans. Also they don't want to antagonise possible selling clubs.

This is a very strange period in Manchester City Football Club's history. We are entering into unchartered territory, so the most advisable thing to do is buckle up and enjoy the ride, because as always happens with us, it's not going to be straightforward :)

Well I have 'Asked Guillem' <a class="postlink" href="http://guillembalague.com/rumores.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://guillembalague.com/rumores.php</a>

Would be interesting to hear his opinion.

How fascinating to again read the truth about the situation at City, Thanks Guillem

I am trying not to get too carried away with all the players being linked to City, however one player I would love to see at City is David Villa, and considering the new reports of 'financial crisis' at Valencia. I would be very interested to hear your opinion of the situation. Is this 'crisis' affecting Valencia more than any other team? Is there even a crisis? And considering Real seem to be out of the race having bought Huntellar, and as you know David Villa personally, do you think he would consider moving to Manchester City if they made an approach?

Regards,
Joe White

I can't find anything about it anywhere other than the reports saying us and chelsea are fighting over him.

No offence to your mate but I'd be surprised if he had a clue what Valencia's finances were like if he's just a fan of the club.

Same news from the press for the last few days ................

The only reason this Topic i.e. Villa hasn't quietened down for the moment is that there been posts from people with "inside" knowledge.......... hopeful true
