Has there ever been a more wasted effort on the internet than this thread?!

DUDE. this is the INTERNET. being self conscious about wasting effort on the internet is like pissing in a river and watching to see if the water rises.

think of how much bandwidth is pissed away on tinfoil hat conspiracy forums, etc. better question would be what's on the internet that ISN'T wasted effort?

Re: David Villa Done Deal!

Manchester City will be foiled in their attempts to sign David Villa after Valencia insisted they will not sell the Spanish hotshot this season.

City had hoped to capitalise on the credit crunch, which had plunged financially-stricken Valencia into major doubts over their immediate future.

However, Los Ches have agreed a deal with Unibet as their principal sponsor, which means they no longer need to sell their best players to stay afloat.

Vice-president Fernando Gomez did discuss the names who will be allowed to leave, but he was forthright in his attitude towards a potential £30 million bid from City for Villa.

“Villa and Silva are not going to be leaving Valencia,” Gomez was quoted as saying in El Confidencial.

"There are the possible exits of [Nikola] Zigic and Hugo Viana, but that is because they are players who need to play because here they have not had opportunities

My thoughts are with you OB - clearly more important things than football at work here. But you will beat it.

Was looking at another forum I hardly ever visit, and saw this. Not sure if it's rubbish or decent info, but thought it might add some weight to your original post?

Ah, I see. Could be a WUM, I guess.

He's totally right about Rooney though. But, I still think that money grabbing is probably one of Rooney's lesser crimes. ;0)
