laughing stock!

Suggest that the phrase 'laughing stock' is outlawed! We are FAR from being that.
LS refers to looking foolish like Rags who failed to hang on to most prized asset and also fans favourite! Like Chelsea who battle to hold on to club skipper, Like 'Arry who can't compete
like Benitez who carps when being gazzumped.
We will be proud of the team Mark sends out at Blackburn on Day 1 of MCFC's climb to the higher echelons of the Premier League.
Laughing Stock...................NEVER!

We're not a laughing stock.

We CHOSE to end our interest in a world class, 30 goal a season forward. If anything that should earn us some respect.

Agree with you all - LS isn't the correct terminology - but perhaps we are a third of the way to be subjected to an extremely hard time in the media and by other fans if we do not now sign Tevez or Terry. To fail on all three would be very unfortunate.

The only people who are a laughing stock are the people who have been deluded enough to think that Eto was coming to City and have been ramming that prospect down the throats of opposing fans. I notice a lot of these people are thick skinned, 5 minutes after the Eto transfer had been abandoned these same deluded people were talking about David Villa joining and becoming a laughting stock again. You could'nt make it up.

We are trying to do a deal for one of the best players in the world and have played hard ball we should be feckin proud of city!

I was proud of City when we pulled out of the Eto transfer, a dose of realism must of decended over GC.

Regardless of opinion on MH/GC, i believe we should be trying to smash the door down to get in that top 4, not settling for 2nd or 3rd best. I would much rather hear that we have been trying to tempt the worlds best to City but falling short, than us accepting that we are new boys on the block and should respect the status quo and only go for lower level players.

No Eto'o', not really surprised on this one as it has appeared to be riddled with complications since its inception, but f*ck it, leave that one alone now and lets have a go for the next superstar......................... they will come and when one domino falls, happy days!

Correct. The signatures of Robinho, and Barry from under the noses of Chelsea and Liverpool prove that the "strategy" works.

Can I just say that anyone whinging about is being a laughing stock over failed signings does not deserve to be a city fan.

Such a loser attitude that we should not try in case we fail and such thin skinned people do not have the character, heart or passion to be true blues and need to get a grip.

And if you are too precious and soft to handle a bit of press or other fan ridicule then don't bother to get up in the morning as you are too soft for real life.
Don't worry EB, the snipers, and WUMs are fighting a losing battle. City are unstoppable!

Off to work now :-(

If we sign tevez then we have
Petrov or Robbie left
Elano or sweep right
Boj or cruz target man
Tevez or Bellamy pacy forward

That is 8 decent internationals cover in any position and good enough for top 4 as it is.

Eto is great but not vital as we will have goals from Barry and Ireland too and any of these 8

Etóo,
the wonderful player he is
I believe would had been bad for moral and the dressing room.
He is sulky and other players do not like him at Barca.
City have done the right thing. Laughing stock, too many f*cking wet-arses on this forum.

That is a great last post EB, i have waited and waited for City to win something and i am still but it feels so close to finaly happening. I am not going to go and top myself because some twat wouldnt join us at the start of our journey.

The likes of Eto'o will be begging to join in 3 years time if things go to the Sheiks plan.
