Lawro predicts

Difficult place to go and I'd be happy with a point tbh to make it 7 from 9, but I have a feeling with the way Spurs play and there openness we will take all three points.

3-1 City

if were going for the title it's these kinds of games you need to win..
but spurs are 1 of our bogey teams so

1-1

A draw not a gterrible result but the rags would win this one so no reason why we cant.

What is wrong with you all? a draw my arse, we will control this game with our immense physical strength along with the sheer class in Silva and Nasri, it is our opponents who will have to strain every sinew this season just to take a point from us.

I realise we will at some stage have the odd off game and will face the usual poor refereeing decisions by officials, and unlike the rags probably never get any real rub of the green, but though I'm not suggesting we will go all season unbeaten, I genuinely can't see where any defeat will come, we are a phenominal team with great power and ability, open your eyes and smell the coffee, easy win for us and onwards and upwards!

We can and will beat these cnuts. I predict a 1-4 for city, I feel really positive about us for the first time in a long time.

Hard to argue with that, however my only issue is with the fact that he pointed out playing Tevez and Aguero. Whilst in theory this is a badass idea, Tevez as proved by his minutes at Bolton, is far away from match fitness and Aguero is just finding his feet...Why remove Dzeko from the fold when he has been on fire lately.

Otherwise I can see us winning 2-1

Dzeko and Yaya

He just plays the numbers game with these predictions and I don't see a problem with that. It's the sensible thing to do. Back the result that's most likely. Seems as he's a pundit, it's his job to be right as often as possible.

I'd say a draw would be the odds on result this weekend.

We're in good form, Tottenham have a point to prove, Tottenham are at home. Got goals written all over it. So I'm going for:

0-0

This is a game if we are serious about winning the league we need to win. Draws are ok at the swamp and Chelsea. If we draw we are chasing the rags after three games. They will dismantle Arsenal. Got to be 3 points here.

Spurs are a very good team at home and will be well up for this. You have their centre-forwards trying to prove themselves before Adebayor is eligible, and the whole squad comparing themselves to City - the new Galaticos - who took their Champions League place

Potentially one of the toughest games of the season

We need De Jong - if fit

-- Fri Aug 26, 2011 7:36 am --

None of the top 4 won at WHL in the League last season.

If the players are as complacent as the fans we will get turned over

If we were playing the Spurs of 2 years ago we'd be in for a hard game......but we're playing what I consider a poor Spurs side.

Spuds 1 - 3 MCFC

Is it arrogance or confidence I'm reading on this.

Spurs are a tough fixture and I agree that a draw at one of the top 6 away would be decent, we need to defend better than we did at Bolton.

If they have more creativity due to Modric suddenly recovering from Harry's Manuniteditis.

We've got it all on to get a result, I'd take a draw now, but i feel we will score, so if VK and Lescott defend well we might win.

Funny you should say that
SSN saying he's back for our game

However we shouldn't be paranoid

Draws are no good at top 6 if the rags are winning them. There will be a bigger number of points needed this year. United drew a lot of away games last season. We have to go to Spurs to win.
