Lawro Predicts...

Man City v West Brom (1945 BST)

Manchester City are battling to keep their title challenge alive.

They ought to overcome a West Brom side sitting safely in mid-table without too many problems but I can't help thinking that it will make little difference to the race for the Premier League.

Roberto Mancini has been let down by the likes of Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli - players he thought he could trust.

Balotelli might have scored the goals to fuel City's challenge at the top but do you honestly think Sir Alex Ferguson would have tolerated his behaviour across the road at Manchester United?

Of course not.

West Brom frustrated Manchester United for 35 minutes at Old Trafford recently. But it was comfortable for the hosts, who won 2-0, after that. I can see a similar outcome in this one.

Prediction: 2-0

Norwich v Man City (1245 BST)

This is a really tricky game for Manchester City.

They had a really good win over West Brom on Wednesday, and Manchester United's defeat at Wigan made it a great night for them.

But that just shows you that things should be a lot closer at the top of the table, and City will know that those dropped points against Sunderland, Stoke and Swansea have cost them a lot in what has otherwise been a very good season.

Norwich did very well against Tottenham on Monday, and they seemed to realise quickly that Spurs were nervy. They got in their face and, despite the odd scare, I thought Paul Lambert's side thoroughly deserved their victory.

The Canaries are at home and Carrow Road will be rocking for this one but I think we will see City's late rally continue.

In many ways, having Mario Balotelli suspended after his red card in their defeat by Arsenal and not being involved has been a bonus for them. He had become the story and that should not have happened, because if you are trying to win the title for the first time you need to have everyone pulling in the same direction.

Prediction: 1-2

I reckon Lawro is bang on here.

Norwich are safely in mid table with nothing to play for. I can see us winning this one at least 3-0 now we seem to be back to our best.

I predict he'll continue to steal a fortune from us all via the bbc in 'wages'

and continue to drink many white wine spritzers

Spurs made that mistake
Spurs are playing like we were 2 weeks ago. I really believe that our form has returned. We've got our full strength back 4 playing well. The pressure is off because realistically no-one expects us to win the league (except me and one or two others on BM)

Norwich seem to be playing for pride to be honest, I don't think they'll let up till the end. Lambert has created quite the tight knit unit over there. Coupled with our truly shocking, shocking, shocking post Xmas away form it will be anything but a straight forward 3-0 win. In many ways I know we all want the win whatever, but right now the performance will be just as important. A shite 1-0 win we didn't deserve I can't see doing much for the lads confidence. A convincing 2-0 is a whole different kettle of fish.

Can we hypnotize Aguero to think he's playing at the Etihad so he'll start scoring away from home?
