Anyone know where to get lcd screens for laptops around Manchester?

Looked around google but most places are abroad or just offer a service of doing it for you....

The screen cracked and I wanna place a new screen in the lappy.

You'll be very lucky to find anyone that stocks them mate, they're quite bespoke and usually best purchased from the PC manufacturers. They are usually very expensive and I would just buy a VGA cable, wireless keyboard and mouse and use it as a media PC to watch footy and films on your TV. Then buy a new laptop.

See this is the thing - I have an HTPC already hooked up to the big screen.
My bird bought a decentish laptop a few months back and the screen broke, so she bought a new one.

Anyway I want the laptop to use for general net surfing/word processing etc rather than using the HTPC as its quite straining on the eyes (even tho its 42")

Was tempted to rape your firms account and order loads of stuff but hadn't arranged the ticket to thailand nor the storage facility yet :(
