I'm after a 40-42 inch LCD tv, anyone got any recommendations?Got to be HD ready with freeview built in. Done a lot of searching and the Sony Bravia looks good but would want some info from anyone who has one or another make that could suffice. Cheers.

We've got both Toshiba Regza (32") and Sony Bravia (26") sets.

I think the Sony edges it but do your own research as makers are constantly updating sets. Also buy some quality magazines to see what independent researchers make of everything...

I've got the Toshiba Regza 37" and it's superb for HD content. Not so good on older broadcasts on Sky due to the native resolution being 1080. As broadcasts move closer to High Def this will get better though.

I have got a 26" Sony Bravia with built in freeview in my bedroom. Quality tele

We have a 42" LG one in the living room which is no where near a better picture than the sony

A mate has sorted one out for me, 37 inch Bravia for a very good £450. Will be opting for that one I think.

i bought a 42 inch Panasonic viera from Sound and Vision in Farnworth

it cost £749 and it was going in Comet for £999

No complaints it is a really good telly HD ready and FREEVIEW built in

All a waste of money unless you get HD off the broadcasters.
Got myself a freesat box this week, I have freed my LCD.
The other option is get a PS3 and watch the blue ray format but make sure you get a HDMI lead.
