The sister clubs thing is a red herring, written by people who don't know what they are talking about. The Sun article this was based on said "partner clubs" and "satellite clubs" which are whole different kettles of fish to sister clubs, which implies common ownership.

Should never rely on anything in the press, especially financial matters written by sports journalists.
