I feel I need to apologise to Kompany, pre match I expressed my concerns that this may be a big match to far for him and that his selection was more to do with sentiment than ability.

After his performance today I feel foolish, he was fantastic for us and deserves all the plaudits he gets, his goal was the icing on the cake for him.
