League Cup QF Draw - Oxford United (A)

Think you're thinking of the WBA League cup final 70.
No the pitch was also shit in 69 it pissed down and played like crap.
The WBA game was after the horse of the year show and I admit that was worse but I thought that was out of context whilst replying to a post about 1969.

No, when we get tough draws its absolute proof its fixed, corruption is endemic and the world is conspiring against us, when we get a run of easy draws its a happy coincidence.
Right, I’m with you! Cheers mate

I was at the 69 final and it didn't piss down, maybe you were pissed

Aren't they a bunch of twats? They knew the dates of all competitions in August, if it was a problem they should have withdrawn then. It's unfair to the other six clubs in the cup if Villa get a bye into the semi's, make them play with an under 21/EDS team instead of bending over backwards for them.

If I was them I would have done the latter. Enter the comp but just say its a reserve comp as the fixtures clash. Then when it gets to the next round put 11 kids out.

Does this mean football is still fixed? M

The run of easy draws is actually further proof of the original conspiracy - it clearly shows we were on to them, so they've had to go the other way to throw us off the scent.

Ha, quality mate, please tell me you are joking though?
