Sea trout, brown trout, loach, eels and stuff in the Mawdach, I think there are salmon but nothing like the 60's/70's, bass in the estuary / tidal reaches, tope in the bay, usual inshore fish just off the coast. Loads of jellyfish, 2 pods of dolphins.

The only reason they tend to go back is because they miss the Grorty Dick and Faggots and Peas...There'd be more of them if it wasn't for Laverbread...

First and foremost many thanks for the video of Plant and Johnson I'd not seen it. Unfortunately there's only a few clips with Plant but a full 17 mins with Nick Mason in another episode. In one of the clips Plant said that after a hectic USA tour they retreated to the place you mention to write Led Zep 3 and he said thats why it's more folk orientated than 1 and 2 because of the Welsh surroundings. So I assume that would have been May 1970 as they toured Europe Early 1970 and then went to the USA in late March 1970 until late April 1970. They had May off before they did some Festivals in June and some European shows in July 1970 and then didn't return to the States until the middle of August and finished in the middle of September with LZ3 being released in October 1970 I don't know which other LZ lp was written in those surroundings however LZ 4 has numerous acoustic tracks so maybe that was wriiten there as well but thats just a guess by me.
