I read somewhere must do at least 10 years to be considered.
If so that rules out Peter Doherty from my earlier post then. Despite him being said to be one of the top players ever to play for us, he only played for 9 years with WW2 interrupting and only ended up playing 119 games for the club.
Although his family are still Blues and live in the area (Stalybridge I believe)
Similar to Frank Swift who was a City player for 16 years but also interrupted by the war. He’s City’s longest serving player, although Alan Oakes played the most games.
His family are also still Blues and live in the area too (Northenden)
But Eric Brook does fit the category of a decade. He played 450 games over 11 years for City and scored the same amount of goals as Lee and Summerbee combined, with his goals record standing for 78 years!
He does have a commemorative plaque on a wall in his home town of Doncaster.
A plaque is to be put up to commemorate a Doncaster football star whose goalscoring record lasted 78 years until it was beaten by Argentina star Sergio Aguero.

Brook, along with Colin Bell and Bert Trautmann, should be the three to have a statue. Especially since Brook was almost ignored as a name by both City and our fanbase until Agüero started to get near and then overtook his goal scoring record, while Bell and Trautmann are easily remembered as our two biggest legends.
