Lee Dixon: Players will come anyway; money first, CL second

I know which players I'd rather go after.

Agreed, with all the cash floating around the club we are always going to attract some mercenaries but as long as we don't have a full team of 'em we are ok. That's why 4th in crucial becasue we will sign ambitious players rather than ones who think 'job done' as soon as they sign their £100,000 a week contract.

Well done Lee Dixon, made Hansen look like a right twat tonight, completely blown him out.

I'm still baffled about Hansen could say ''Villa were the better team'', i mean people have opinions in football, some people see things differently to others, but something so blantently obvious like this, even the Villa fans said the best team won.

Once again Dixon touched a nerve when he mentioned Liverpool, hansen doesn't like that, because soon were going to be taking his precious teams spot he starts crying, he's an absolute tosser.

Old scarface Hansen is bricking it at the thought of us getting 4th.

All Lawro's talk about us dominating the PL soon hit him hard and he's proper bitter.

To be fair to Lawrenson, I find him easier to take than AH. He's more realistic about Liverpool's demise, is usually pretty even handed in his comments about City (although I might not always like those views), and I've only ever heard him get really passionate about one club, Preston. I don't want pundits who always agree with my take on things, I just want them to have their views without any sort of agenda.

I completely agree with lee dixon and have thought so all season. Last year after we finshed a miserable 10th, we still managed to attract the likes of adebayor, tevez and barry, so if we finish 5th, just a few points away from the champions league spots, we will have no problems at all attracting the worlds best.

Mark Hughes was forever going on about 'balance' within the team. I don't think we have that yet. Until we find the right calibre of players then we will always be vulnerable in certain areas. E.g: Kolo Toure / Gareth Barry / RSC / Lescott(??). Mancini seems more focussed and as this ideal type of player in mind so hopefully we will be a more streamlined outfit next season.

I like that Boateng fella, looks a good prospect - if we get him. Ozil / Ollic / Ballotelli these are realistic targets and would improve the team tenfold. Makes sense trying to offload/swap players like: Robinho / Jo / RSC / Garrido / Petrov to get the right ones in.

some of us always said the big name players would come, you dont need to be a brainbox to realise that, whats getting me is this waiting part, but seriously, there are some who still dont want to replace certain players, get over it, we are on the move and are about to gather pace, you dont expand the stadium if you are not going to fill it, read between the lines, there, its quite easy

Offload Robinho & bring in Balotelli? The words 'frying pan' & 'fire' spring to mind.

If we want the likes of Fernando Torres we need Champions League football, it's that simple. Both the club and Sheikh Mansour know this, it really is huge to our development as a club.

Disagree.

Ask yourself why our owners are so keen on CL qualification. They certainly don't need the cash (unlike scum and liverpool) and with a seemingly botomless pit of money we can tempt any player to join us.
