Both Fulham and Wigan are growing clubs. Fair play them!
Ever been to Wigan? Every Pie Eater I know or have met (apart from at a Wigan game) is either a United, Liverpool or City fan. That's not Wigan's fault particularly, but give them a few decades in the top flight and the DW will be full and they will take much bigger away followings. I bet there are more young lads in the Wigan area who support Wigan (unlike their glory hunting fathers) than ever before.
Fulham have get good attendances at home and fill full allocations at all Southern games. They don't travel we up here but we've not travelled well down South for the last decade ourselves; until this season we have barely ever taken up a full allocation at Chelsea, Fulham or Spurs - do you reckon those clubs have said the same about us over the last ten years ("rather have QPR/West Ham/Millwall in the Prem than City, at least they'd sell out here at the Bridge/WHL!")?
Leeds and the Sheffield clubs have had 125+ years to make themselves top flight clubs today and have failed - fair play to Wigan and Fulham.
Also did you know that Brighton&Hove get a bigger average home attendance than Leeds in a much smaller stadium in a smaller city? Fuck Leeds!
