Stones can hold his head high. Did what he could today. Fernandinho in the first half bossed the midfield but the lads couldn’t covert the chances he created with his runs and such.

Momentum killed. We've our biggest game of the season Wednesday and we're going into it with a blunt attack having not being able to beat ten men.

Game we should have won comfortably, turns into a loss. Gave us a few warnings on the break but we didn't heed them. Surprised he didn't put KDB on for the last 10 mins as weren't creating a lot and there was plenty of time and space for shooting from distance.

Horrible result really.

Thats what pissed me off today KB no-one wanted to shoot from distance and too much tippy tappy once again around the area.

Rested players which is understanable and tinkered with the positions, but honestly the team that started should have been able to beat these.

Players came back in and didn't impress.

Dissapointed but the next 2 games are more important and rather we had a blip today then in them.

Regardless of how talented our squad is there is a tipping point where the selection risks the result. Not enough of the big hitters to make a difference.

The performance of that front three today was as poor as I can recall for a long time.

Sterling can have zero complaints about being back on the bench Wednesday - lack of quality, poor decision making and selfish. Not attractive traits for one of our biggest players.

Oh well a bad day at the office. I thought Ferna showed his age in those last ten mins and it was a big surprise he didn't come off - he was running in treacle at the end so I didn't like putting Stones into midfield and him dropping into centre back. Cancelo was woeful and Raheem is having a very, very poor run. He doesn't look close to scoring and I thought today him and Jesus ran into dead ends far too often when a simple pass was on. Against ten men you have to move the ball quickly to create the space, they didn't do that. That said 6 on target from 27 shots tells you all you need to know about how our forward players played. Onto Wednesday but now is the time to stop the rotation malarky go with the best 11 every single time Pep.
