Leeds Scum

Warnock's "ton of bricks" comment was pretty inappropriate, but to be fair other than that he couldn't have condemned the attack more.

Didn't really understand Jones' "it's a form of racism" comments though. He was understandably furious about his player being attacked, but it didn't make much sense.

He was apopletic about Warnock applauding the Leeds support at the end, but they must've had at least 3,500 there tonight. You can't castigate them all for the moronic behaviour of one bellend.

Anymore of you want to take the moral high ground? It was one lone dickhead fan who assaulted Kirkland, hes now been identified and no doubt the police will be looking for him. Why should it be the clubs responsibility? where were the stewards in a derby like this? They should be held accountable for not doing their jobs properly in the first place. Points reductions, games behind closed doors etc. get a grip. Calling us small time aswell, brilliant irony. The peado chants started after the Sheffield fans started the Istanbul ones by the way.

Words fail me.

If the Internet was around in 1985, this is what the posts would be like.

Why? Im not justifying what that bellend did am i? But some of the posts in this thread youd think all the fans ran onto the pitch and kicked the shit out of a few players, it was one guy who pushed the goalkeeper in the face to the floor. Hopefully he's caught and punished, the club shouldnt be docked points or anything ridiculous like that, the stewards shouldve been doing their job properly aswell. Before that even happened they were just letting both sets of fans do what they want from some accounts of people who went to the game, bottles and other things were being thrown from one set of fans to the other and they didnt intervene and pull anyone out, just sat there and laughed at it.

You're not, but to blame the stewards! Why not blame your club for not taking the necessary steps to ensure idiots like that could not only get a ticket but also couldn't enter the stadium? It's not as if he didn't have previous.

To blame the stewards just speaks volumes though, are they trained to deal with this kind of behaviour? Should they be expected to? Shameful behaviour and just as bad to try and deflect blame onto others.

You've got a point pal.

But life's too short to let your mind melt over this.

Im not blaming the stewards entirely, im saying they couldve done a better job than what they did. They are there to stop people in the crowd from being a nuisance and also to try and stop people from getting on the pitch, one lad looked about 12 years old and ran a mile when the goal went in and the fans rushed forward. If they arent capable of doing their job then get someone else in. The guy who assaulted Kirkland is at fault for what happened, clubs can only do so much to try and make sure people like him dont get their hands on tickets for games but theres always a few who manage to slip through the net and get around it.

Fair enough, I read your post as if you were saying the stewards were just as much to blame as that idiot was for the assault on Kirkland - I appreciate now that's not what you meant.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Leeds fans have always been nasty and scummy.

20 point ban and an electric fence please batesy

Seems like a lovely chap looking at his Facebook. Already banned from grounds, been in the nick before doesn't seem arsed about going back either and has a conspiracy to commit fraud charge as well. This country has too many of these scrotes.

Not read the thread but just heard him say this on SSN.

Stunned. Genuinely stunned. Is he intimating that Kirkland dived?

It might only have been one fan that did it, but - might just be me - I agree with Jones. The Leeds players should not have acknowledged their mob. After all, whilst one got at Kirkland, there are quite a few (ok, not 3,500) who are on the pitch behind the net etc.

Leeds have form as long as your arm for hooliganism. About time they were fucked over royally. Time to make an example FA.
