Going from strength to strength Leeds . If Leeds are going the cheap route . They should have appointed the Bradford Park Avenue boss John Deacey . A bloke who as worked miracles at B.P.A . B.T.W the Leeds reporter on Look North . Looked a bit underwhelmed with news coming out of Leeds United tonight .

I'll always remember being sat amongst the Leeds fans at Elland Road at our first game of the 2002/3 Season under KK, following our intoxicating promotion the previous term.
They were definitely a class above us on the pitch, in spite of us having bought well over the summer recruiting the likes of Anelka.
The Leeds fans, in that utterly graceless way that no other supporters in football can ever quite emulate, seemed to find the relative gulf in class between the two clubs to be a source of great amusement.
How did that work out for you lads?

If I was a Leeds supporter tonight I would just give up on football . I thought we were a joke of a club under Swales and Francis Lee in the 80s and 90s . But we never appointed a manager from non league . And we didn't spend over a decade in the 2nd and 3rd tier of English football . To think it was just over 20 years ago Leeds were champions .

Forget Hockaday, he isn’t the real issue, “manager” Cellino is.
I have no idea what David Hockaday is like as a bloke (other than the bizarre stuff from today which suggested he isn’t the sharpest tool in the box), what I do know however is he clearly isn’t a proud one. Massimoego Cellino has been clear from day one, he bought 75% of Leeds United to play a glorified game of Football Manager 2015. The term “Head Coach” doesn’t mean what Steven McClaren does at Derby County, it means do the training ground stuff and be Cellino’s UEFA badges cover. The job is no more complicated than move the cones and fetch the bibs (although that does beg the question what is Junior Lewis going to do?). The same will apply to whoever gets the “Technical Director” job, they won’t actually be choosing players they will be doing the leg-work for Cellino’s choices. In a nut-shell we are a play-thing. It will be painful to watch, it will be frustrating to follow, it is the road to hell in an hand-cart. Hockaday will go the day Massimoego feels results reflect badly on him yet Hockaday hasn’t got a pray in influencing games. His chances of lasting 2 months never mind 2 years seem low. Yes Hockaday had no right to believe he was a genuine contender for a genuine Head Coach role and yes our sympathy for him when the inevitable happens will be low but he isn’t our problem, Cellino is and Massimoego is going to take a lot more shifting than Bates and GFH put together.
Their is not a lot of point whining on about this for the rest of the summer, mainly because I can guarantee something even more humiliating will happen at Leeds United soon. But when that season’s starts no force on earth will save the “President” or the bib-man from the wrath of the support. In the meantime brace yourselves boys and girls, it will be getting worse.

To be fair it's probably best f Hockaday doesn't have any influence over anything, he spent 2 million quid to get a conference side up to 10th.

I have no axe to grind against Leeds. Under Revie they were the first great team I ever saw. They won six trophies in ten seasons.
Mr M and Mr P have given us four trophies in four seasons.
If City can manage to win just three in the next six seasons - and with the players we have that should really be a piece of piss I am going to die a happy man.
