Leeds United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Agree with your comments regarding seeing it out at the end but that first 30 minutes was a shambles and could have cost us. Echoes of the Bodo Glimt game.
Eh.....eh.....eh.....let's not bad mouth Bodo.

We probably don't get it as much as we're Blues and we still think in the worst terms. However, I've spoken to a Liverpool fan in work who said he knows how Arsenal feel - he said when Liverpool were in title races with us it was absolutely relentless and energy sapping.
Perhaps mate, can see that, tbf.
But for me, “ominous” means Darth Vader. It means success (perhaps, for now), but highly unlikeable. The clear baddie. It’s something we (meaning the wider audience) clearly don’t want.

I think when it gets used it’s a clear trigger sign that some narrative-feeding is taking place.

As a tough defensive performance those last 15 minutes weren't too far behind Rorke's Drift and an afternoon getting battered on and off the pitch (but winning) at a rugby league match at Featherstone back in the day when the locals brought their dogs out to chase us back to the coaches.

Warning this response is tongue in cheek.

Do you mean the Leeds team or the Match Day thread folk.

Byeeeeee see you all in a while. I’m not daft!! *rofl*
Listen you, Eccles, I’m about to shit my pants because Leeds have a corner in the last minute and I’m reading you banging on about bringing on Johnny Boulders.

You’re on my naughty list for that!

Big win, results are what matters at this stage of the season and we got the job done. That was a performance full of character and resilience and apart from the last 10 mins when we had to deal with a number of crosses into the box we managed the game well.

Hahahaha this handball is ridiculous. If that’s given in real time then we should pack up and fuck football off, never mind by somebody who can have a second look.

Reeks of desperation from the ones who are gutted they can’t write any headlines other than an important City win.

Lost all meaning of the word deliberate handball, as you say pack it in if he gives that.

DCL puts his arm on Nunes, so Nunes puts his arm on him and it hits his elbow when he isn't even looking.

Never ever ever a penalty.

Elated by the result, much less by the game. My view hasn't changed, we are still in the title race and chasing other tropheys, because our results are far ahead of our performances.

Very good win and a strong performance. Took some time to get fully to grips with the game and there were some inevitably tense moments at the end with Leeds playing hit (or throw) and hope football without causing Donna to lose any more hair.
