Reindeer and Sav as subs against physically strong opponents? Sometimes Pep can't help taking the piss.
 
GTFI. Brilliant performance where everybody took responsibility.

Not sure how they worked out how Leeds were dominant, they had their chances but we either snuffed them out, or made it really difficult.

Leeds went all out in the first 30, left them vulnerable once the juice dropped. After that we controlled the game and kept them at bay.

Loving the progress we are making, and loved our fans giving it large.

We got the all important three points but I would have preferred a more comfortable evening watch. Not sure what went on in those first 25 mins but we were all over the show. Once we settled down and decided to get a move on with things we controlled the game.
The goal came from using the width rather than trying tippy tappy passes in the over crowded middle of the pitch. Lovely through ball from Cherki, a great cross by RAN and good anticipation by Semenyo.
I don't think the subs helped as there was no outlet available and the ball just kept coming back. Luckily the defence stood firm. It was a bit nerve wracking at times.
Hopefully for the midweek game O'Reilly and Haaland will be fit and we knock in a few early goals without conceding so that we have a more comfortable evening.
 
More i read some posts on here , the more i think what spoilt bastards we have as fans , maybe we should appreciate how the managers and players are playing with passion and fight , we might not be Brazil '70 , but we are working our balls off to win games .We do not have the quality of recent champion teams , that is clear ,but we are in with a shout in all four competitions , credit where credit is due.
 
Great 3 points. Did we have another shot on target first half other than our goal? Thought our 2nd half performance was an improvement on recent weeks. Onto the next game.
 
3 points is ultimately what matters but that was difficult to watch at times. Guehi, Dias were mint. And Alan Smith is still a prick.

I think Haaland missing today spooked us more than Leeds

But once we got going we started to click and thankfully the right result
 
I don't think this giving the players 3 days off is benefiting us at all, we're looking more lethargic than ever, opposition teams are looking far more energetic than us. I've always said week long breaks just don’t improve us, we need to be playing every three days for maximum performance
 
Result, result, result!!! Bodies on the line, work ethic and fighting for each other and the club! We were never going to score 4 or 5 there , delighted with the result and we move on to Wednesday! Hopefully Chelsea can surprise us and get something tomorrow.
