Our 3 cards were for Donnarumma for not stopping fucking about at a corner, Ait Nouri for time wasting and Savinho for a blatant, cynical professional foul.Leeds 10 fouls 0 cards, City 8 fouls 3 cards.
Soooooo, when we've been below 60 points we've not won the title.Under Pep after 28 games:
16-17: 57 points (3rd)
17-18: 75 points (1st)
18-19: 68 points (2nd)
19-20: 57 points (2nd)
20-21: 65 points (1st)
21-22: 69 points (1st)
22-23: 61 points (2nd)
23-24: 63 points (3rd)
24-25: 47 points (5th)
25-26: 59 points (2nd)
First time this season that we're trending above the 19-20 season, when we finished on 81 points. Two points behind our total at this stage in 22-23, and four points behind our total at this stage in 23-24.
I'd rather Mcaidoo or Foden than him, he's been a huge disappointment
i really hope Mcaidoo goes on to have a great career, either with us, or if not elsewhere, as I do with ever Blue that comes through the academy, but he didn’t look remotely close to Marmoush in that Salford game, the latter being robbed of a great goal.I'd rather Mcaidoo or Foden than him, he's been a huge disappointment
But like you from a fan point of viewMarmoush offers fuck all
DLC's try at 3 minute mark would have. He was onside. Aaronson's wouldn't have. But I don't trust VAR for nothing. Both wouldn’t have counted if gone in
I thought Ait Nouri was very good todayHard fought, proper champions performance that, whether we make it in the end or not that is the sort of 90 minutes that wins you titles.
Take off the foul on Guehi chance for Leeds, and their one on one offside and Donner has done very little, in a hostile crowd.
Guehi and Dias were solid as fuck. RAN is unreal. Cherki a joy to watch. Semenyo pure output in goals and assists. Rodri looked good overall. Nunes the best right back in world football.
We are a year early in our transition and fighting on four fronts in March still. Never expected that in August.
I’ll apologise to Pep for saying it might be time to call it a day with mutual agreement. He’s building something again.
You can feel it.
ZzzzzzzzzJob done but another poor performance
A big result against a club that might go down.Leeds' record at Elland Road in evening/night games this season:
8pm KO vs Everton - won 1-0
5.30 KO vs Newcastle - drew 0-0
8pm KO vs West Ham - won 2-1
8.15 KO vs Chelsea - won 3-1
5.30 KO vs Liverpool - drew 3-3
8pm KO vs Palace - won 4-1
8pm KO vs Forest - won 3-1
5.30 KO vs Man City - LOST 0-1
We've pulled off a big result here.
I think I’ve spotted the next ex-wife.
Not at all as it's not interrupting the game. Religious beliefs people are welcome to but they should have no impact on the game of football or any other sporting events.Have you got a problem with Semenyo praying at the end of the game?
Arsenal no doubt feel gA big result against a club that might go down.
Savinho I thought was decent and useful the last 15 minutes including added time.Given it a bit of a time as I'm made up with the win, some games are going to be tough and this was one of them.
However, wtf with Savinho.
We played with 10 when he came on, completely anonymous.
I don't think Pep would have brought him on if he knew Nico was going off injured soon after.
We were comfortable imo until those changes, after them it became nervy but our defence was good enough (fucking superb actually) to withstand.
I didn't think Marmoush was particularly good and in hindsight, with Erl missing it might have been a better idea to leave him out too and go 4 5 1.
Anyway, Savinho was decidedly worse than Marmoush.
Hope to god Doku is up to speed soon as Sav' in a title run in, not for me.
Jesus, lighten up, its a great result tonightA big result against a club that might go down.
Unfortunately, L***s won't go down. Wolves and Burnley have two of those places sewn up. And the third spot is, in my opinion, between Forest and the Hammers (Spurs, also unfortunately, won't go down).A big result against a club that might go down.
Results win trophies son.
But tbf you are right.
Agree 100% results are what matter, but you cannot have the whole season of mediocre results and expect to winning it. I am just preparing myself in case of hard crash. It's one thing struggling with obsitinate defences trying to break them down and totally losing control of the games. I am just not sure I am enjoying this season football. As I said earlier in this thread, it's all about results from here on in. Fuck performances.
