Leeds United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Not at all as it's not interrupting the game. Religious beliefs people are welcome to but they should have no impact on the game of football or any other sporting events.
Ok-but you said religion should not mix with football, when it clearly does..and religion was at the heart of the origins of football in this country.

It was literally a minute-I myself am not remotely religious but I am tolerant-Pep said it better than me but it shows how we are as a country and I’m proud of that-instead of the awful right wing high jacking of this and everything (not for one moment accusing you of that btw).

We literally sing god save the king before every international!

Very hard fought win for the blues. We more than matched them for effort and calmed their crowd down. Class showed in the end

I agree i would not want to see any player suffer health complications as a result of dehydration. However, this break situation sets a precedent for further interrupting of the game I fear. What comes next? A 10 minute break whilst someone has a quick prayer? A 5 minute break whilst someone makes a confession?

That fat slug Shamoon only 2 questions to Pep yesterday were about players breaking their fast. Keep religion and politics out of football.

Couldn’t give a fuck if we win.

Well the game was as tough and nervy as almost everybody expected, thank fuck we got the win. Elland road is a horrible place to go with their inbred backward fans and that **** Farke, i really don't get what hes got against us but he's always throwing his toys out of the pram when we play them. Ban the fucker for the rest of the season.
Results as always are all that matter but I'd like to start to see us flowing a bit better, it's going to take it out of the team if we have to.put so much effort into grinding out results.
Is it just me but do we always look.more tired when we actually do get a full week off between games? It was the same when we were in our prime too

Unfortunately, L***s won't go down. Wolves and Burnley have two of those places sewn up. And the third spot is, in my opinion, between Forest and the Hammers (Spurs, also unfortunately, won't go down).
I don't want Leeds to go down. Proper football city who generate a hostile intimidating atmosphere.

Spurs however...

Not the most attractive performance of the season but dig in and got three points at a tough away ground.

Thought the triangle of Guehi, Dias and Rodri were superb. Absolute leaders. I saw the selection of Dias described as "criminal, on the pre-match thread, it's amazing the stick he gets from some fans since he got a celebrity girlfriend. His leadership is going to be crucial for the run-in.

City going for the title ahead of schedule has warped perceptions of where this team actually is imo. This isn't the team that got 100, 98, 93 points and won domestic trebles and European Cups etc. It's a new team. Last year it was a broken team and we're still recovering from that. We should be nowhere near a title race, Arsenal should be comfortably ahead and we should be looking ahead to next season, but instead we're here. We shouldn't be comparing this lot to our previous title-winning teams. We have to win games in different ways right now while Pep works out how to get these players running like clockwork. Leeds were unbeaten under the lights at Elland Road this season until 7.30pm today - we've got a big win and dug in hard. It looks different, it's got problems, but it's getting there.

A big, important win that, well played CITY!

They were all over us for the first 25 minutes or so and we looked a bit dodgy at the back. But we settled down and pretty much controlled the game after that.

I thought Dias got better as the game went on and him, Guehi, Bernie and Rodri were our best players.

I like Marmoush but he needs to step it up, there's been too many average displays from him.

At the beginning of the season i'd have bit your hand off to be 2 points behind the leaders and 8 points ahead of 3rd place with 10 games left. Keep it going you Blues!

Another big win. Started poorly but grew into the game and did well to grind out the the three points. Superb goal too. Felt nerve wracking at the time, but looking back it was relatively comfortable in the second-half. We’re still growing as a team, but finding ways to win on the road now. That’s very encouraging.
