3 the games in a week isn’t true is it? The B team played in midweekTeam packed with international's coming back from an international break and playing 3 times in a week isn't firing on all cylinders. Colour me shocked ; it happens.
3 points at this stage of the season is all that matters.
City are in better shape than I think some people think. Yesterday, we had Stones, Cherki, Marmoush and Khusanov on the bench. Ait-Nouri is a very capable player too although he has had a difficult start due to injury.
We are missing Rodri. He is the final piece in the jigsaw.
Before the season started, I, and others, said that should we get Rodri and Stones back, we'd challenge for the title. We are on course for that, although Pep has not relied on Stones as much as I thought he would.
Donnarumma, Dias and Haaland are good leaders on the pitch. The fans are weak at the moment, but that's probably down to the ticketing operation and Pep's clanger. South Stand came to life at 2-2 but hitherto were like mice.
Agreed.Agree . But it sticks in my throat when this import from American Football is only commented on when we do it . It's ubiquitous and one of many time wasting / regroup tactics most teams deploy against us . FFS Tarquins were at it at Wembley , after we won the Treble , and they clinched the Community Shield. In stead of a press trigger I called it a team talk trigger . Player sits down and everyone jogs over to Arteta . Happens nearly every match in the Women's game too .
Tells you a lot about the current standard of teams in Premiership this seasonYet second in the league and only 4 points behind runaway leaders Arsenal.
Don’t think our style of play yesterday suited his game, as previously posted he still takes 3/4 men out of position and creates space for othersHes on one of those runs where he completely disappears from games. Hes A LOT of credit in his bank, so its fine, but where as others will say he got no service, i see that hes barely showing himself
Exactly, he has a free pass but it still pisses you off when you see him putting minimal effort in to gamesHes on one of those runs where he completely disappears from games. A good mate of mine, Leeds fan, asked me why Phil wasn’t given offside when he ran on to the Gvardiol header and shot to make the keeper save leading to the corner we then scored from?

What a five minute clip doesn’t show you is that they changed tactics at ht and went 2 up front and played long up to them all half. No mention of this game changing switch in tactics on motd either - shock! City didn’t respond at all and everyone around me knew they would equalise at least. We were all over the place. Haaland didn’t look at all arsed either which was odd and didn’t help, and Doku just kept loosing possession. As a result they had plenty of of opportunity to launch those balls forward. We were mega lucky to win in the end, but thank Buddha we did :)Only saw the highlights on MOTD , can't believe the level the level of negativity on here. Leeds spent the first half and last twenty minutes playing Dyche ball. We ripped them up for arsenal paper first 45 and should have had the game put to bed. After conceding two soft goals we had our share of chances late on until Fodens piece brilliance against a packed defence. I know you can get a false image from highlights but thought we played far better than the contributors on here suggested. Would rather play badly and win than we'll and lose anyway. Three points against tough opponents fighting for their lives, what's not to like. Back in the 70s we would play Leeds off the park yet find a way to lose, feel happy this morning.
Yep. Liverpool imploding has done us a favour. Should mean CL qualification this season is less fraught. The Arse are only gonna need 75 points to win it. Even they wont Devon Loch that!!I think we are the second or third best team in the country. It's a weaker league at the top, and strong in the middle. We aren't so far off that it's impossible, but either Arsenal need a serious collapse or we need to improve. It is what it is, who knows where we might be in the cups in the spring.
Why not? They've been doing it for 4 years and, in charge, they still have their very own built-in Nemessis - Arteta The Neurotic?!Yep. Liverpool imploding has done us a favour. That Leeds manager crying about Donna going down injured on purpose so we can have a team meeting. Happens all the time, Villa keeper does it every game. Never gets mentioned. Stupid Orc trying to save his job by clutching at straws!
Having said all that they do need to bring a rule in to make it not worth doing. Keeper goes down, has to go off for 5 minutes with sub keeper coming on. Job done, it won’t happen again!
You only have to watch them to know that...Why not? They've been doing it for 4 years and, in charge, they still have their very own built-in Nemessis - Arteta The Neurotic?!
Just imagine if they don't beat Chelsea today.....!
Yep. Our team cannot cope with the loss of Rodri. He held it all together.I think that performance is obviously below what we can play but not entirely out of what should be expected this season.
We're in year one of a rebuild of the greatest Premier league side in history - plus missing the world's best midfielder.
We'll have good games, bad games and those games in-between.
