Doing the drive down and back up the road after full time trip this Saturday.

Please don't make me suffer Savinho Bobb Trafford Lewis. Pretending to be good enough for City.

Haaland to score 4 in a City romp.

The Leverkusen experiment was an act of arrogance from Pep that had little chance of success. You do not take liberties like that and disrespect the fans, players and football club. However Pep is loved and will be forgiven.

Amidst the recrimination, some positive and negative traits are emerging in our season. We should take the opportunity to reset and move forward having learned lessons over the course of the season that are both good and bad.

GOOD

a) the continued development of O'Reilly. He is an important player for City. I love the way he glides out of defence. Might O'Reilly play further forward? Perhaps left back is his place because it allows him space to run with the ball at his feet. If he played in midfield, he'd have to take the ball under pressure, and pass. It's a different skill-set. I would like to see Pep experiment with O'Reilly. Leverkusen would have been the perfect opportunity in a strong side. But there will be other games, and O'Reilly has time on his side.

b) Is it time to restore Stones to the Premier League side? Almost all our starting Xi vs Leverkusen shrunk from the challenge but Stones didn't. He started to stride forwards and assert himself. He looked like the old Stones and I hope Pep plays him in the Premier League and gives him more responsibility. I don't think I'd play him against Leeds though as he has played a lot of football recently.

BAD

c) Haaland created mayhem when he came on. He didn't score but he looked like he might. However, Marmoush did nothing. He didn't even look like scoring. City need to work on finding goals from players other than Haaland. We've been playing Savinho mainly on the right for 2 seasons waiting for him to develop but it's not working. A fan-writer recently wrote on the BBC that "some fans can't stand the sight of him". Pep needs to realise that this experiment is not going to work and find some other formulation for the right hand side.

---------Donnarumma
Nunes-Dias-Gvardiol-O'Reilly
-----Gonzalez-Bernardo
-----------Foden
---Cherki--Haaland--Doku

I think we are going to destroy Leeds. They are a very physical side but I am expecting a big win.

We should stop with this. The players confidence must be on the floor. There are a lot of fans who use him as a scapegoat but he's 21. Only just an adult. I know he's playing badly but I think there is a player in there.
he's a pro footballer earning about £100k a week, i'm sure he can take deserved criticism

Which is a concern - see last weekend for how we struggle against physicality
You need a ref who cards players who are physical and rely on roughing up creative players. Unfortunately, PiGMOL doesn't possess one. Perhaps we need a Leeds player to give one of ours a slap early doors. But the guy would plead he was just trying to wake up the player.

This is not a guarantee our heads are down & we only have 1 player who can score.

3 points a must or this season is going to go like last year

Annoyingly and probably unnecessarily, this has now become a really important game. Another defeat (or even draw to be fair) will bring memories of our fall away of this time last year back into focus. This lot will be well up for it, certainly early on as they were against Villa on Sunday. We need to match that intensity and then let our class come through as the game progresses.

We might be in trouble but there is no comparison to last season. Then we were reeling from losing Rodri and the weak physicality of a team containing KDB and Gundogan. We couldn't cope with 2 games a week and only picked up when we got KO'd from the Champions League. We have lost 2 games back to back, once because of bad luck and poor attacking play, and once because Pep wanted to be kind to his fringe players, and ended up being the exact opposite.

News flash. Apparently we might as well stop now because Didi Hamman thinks we’re gonna win nothing else under Pep. That biased prick has to be up there in the top three people I can’t stand listening talking about our club. Others include Andy Hinchcliffe with that chip on his shoulder, And Simon anti-city Jordan.

So we're going to do the Rags trick and drive young players out of the club. They did it with Rashford and Garnacho, and City are going to do it with Savinho.
