three first team regulars albeit five squad members testing positive for Spurs was enough for their games to be postponed along with a number of staff so using that as a benchmark I think the medical advice will err on the side of caution and the 13 player plus keeper rule looked over.

Can't see Spurs game on Thursday at this stage going ahead and it will be very difficult if nigh impossible for many clubs to avoid players and staff alike in totality testing negative over the comings weeks and months.

Pretty sure Pep confirmed yesterday that the cases were among the staff.

"We have seen with Tottenham, Norwich, Leicester and United - there are many and some staff here have got it right now. We spoke with the players almost every day: be careful, stay safe, stay healthy, masks, social distance because now in the Christmastime the tendency is to go out and do something extra."

Problem with omicron is if 1 player gets it then pretty much guarantee a few will have caught from said player before they know.

And here are us normal folk

On a coach on Saturday with 50 of us, not one case

It's a weird fucker this covid

And I am by no means a denier

If it is off, they'll let us know asap surely before people head off up there? I know Everton vs City was called off with about 3 hours to kick off but that was behind closed doors so not as bad

Hmm City have 5 confirmed cases that’s not been reported on any news channel..

We know it's inside the club already, and incredibly contagious.
Manchester City’s players will be encouraged to get their Covid-19 booster jabs as it emerged that several club staff outside the first-team set-up have contracted the virus.
