I remember when Ridsdale was taking them to the brink of extinction and they thought their team was the Yorkshire version of European royalty. We had just been promoted and I visited a Leeds website for a quick gander, it was quite an eye opener. Apparently we would soon be permanently back where we belonged in the lower reaches and they obviously believed it was just a matter of time before they were crowned Kings of Europe. We all know how that panned out and at that time not one of them thought it was good to see us back with the big boys.
