the rumours flying about dont sound good. I know they are only rumours but it is in line with what i thought at the game.
What did you think if I may ask?

As much as I would like to see many players rested, its now at a stage where, the players and staff can start to think about winning it. We as supporters, see this as the least important competition to win. However this now should be given the respect it deserves, especially given the teams still involved at this point. Let’s win this cup! Win as many trophies as we can, while we can! Make changes, but not wholesale changes to the detriment of the team.I’d like to see us go stronger than the team I posted tbh, and hopefully the 11 point gap will give us a bit of flexibility in terms of the team we choose. Whether you like it or not though, the Carabao Cup is obviously not a priority for the club.

It is a private matter David and his family and hope that he has all the time to pass what could be a troubling time. Feel that the club will give him all the time he needs and wouldn't it be great if we could have a minutes applause on 21 minutes at home against Bournemouth,Fair enough it may well be a family death and like all players if that is so he will be given as much time as possible to be away from the club.
I would think its reasonable to assume he has told Pep not to say anything outside what he has already but I am sure he will be asked again today given he is very private.
Even bluewhit who would know for sure has not been on the forum to say anything and won't until DS decides to go public with it either himself or gives his permission for the club to let those concerned that are not in the loop like us know.
KDBs injury in the semi of this competition in 2016 cost us the title that year.Yes I want to win every game but a semi final double leg in January will test us to the limit physically. We generally lose an important player in these games as well. I would be very happy to see the Rags and Chelsi kick the crap out of each other while we are at home resting for the next three points or FA cup game.

I don't see why it's ridiculous. Pep started a strong 11 for a game that meant literally nothing away at Shakhtar. This is a winnable game in a very winnable cup, and although fans see the LC as a joke/throwaway, I highly doubt that the players and coaches do.
After this game, the Christmas run in is Bournemouth, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, and Watford. So, 3 teams at or around the relegation zone, and then Watford who have won 1 game since mid-October. This is the toughest test we'll face in a while so I don't think Pep will feel any pressure to rest players to save them for the games mentioned above.
I'll happily eat my own words if we play a severely weakened 11 on Tuesday, but I don't see it happening. It may be weaker than I predicted but I don't see Pep rotating in 6-7 players as you mentioned above.
