Yaya, Zinchenko and Tosin need to start because they need to be fit if called upon for the Prem games over Christmas and January. I wouldn’t risk Delph or Fern on Tuesday because of lack of comparable cover. I wouldn’t risk Gundogan starting twice in three days.

I was thinking over the Ota vs Mangala choice. Ota has Ben a colossus but Tosin has played with Mangala so that would give Tosin a fairer chance of putting in a strong performance.

I think Sterling needs a break for this one. Although he scored two yesterday I didn’t think he played particularly well and probably needs a rest. KDB probably also need a break. I suspect his shin is a bit sore after yesterday.

Maybe put Sane in for Diaz and Toure at holding midfield with Delph at LB.
