Leicester (A) Post Match Thread

Yesterday was the first (league) away match I've managed to qualify for a ticket this season, just missed out on Brighton and West Brom nowhere close to any of the others and was starting to think about not bothering in future. Yesterday just got me switched back on completely, couple of pints, fantastic performance from the team and awesome atmosphere generated by our fans. Hope the guy who took a nasty tumble down the steps near us is ok, didn't look too good at the time.

I was the fool who took the tumble and thankfully I'm ok, a bit uglier today, but ok. I remember us scoring, losing my footing and then cracking my face. Not a great deal after that other than lots of blood and me arguing to stay and watch the rest of the game. I do remember Kev scoring as I was carried out though.
What I would like to say is a huge thanks to anyone in M2 who was around and helped me. If I was a bit of a dick please accept my apologies. I've already passed my thanks on to East Mids ambulance service and LRI who were both superb.
If nothing else I was a great advert for the implementation of safe standing yesterday!!!

Well, I’m clear-headed enough to admit that if an opposition player had made that tackle on Jesus or Sergio and they hadn’t been red carded I would have been livid. Where I differ from others is that I honestly believe, hand on heart, that we still would have won. We were that far above them in terms of class. That is the huge difference with the Luiz tackled on Sergio last season. We’d been battering Chelsea all match. Luiz off, and there’s no way Chelsea are winning that. They were already under the cosh. Well, we’ve had some highly malicious decisions against us this season (Walker, Sterling) and, let’s admit it, some highly benign ones (Silva the other day, Vinny yesterday). Unlike last season , it is evening itself out.
Revelling in the three points, but a minor grouse - wish that David Silva had his shooting boots on a bit more often. He should have had a hat-trick yesterday, quite frankly. And I would love to see that happen.

Don't forget Ake getting away with it against Jesus earlier this season

Good to hear your ok pal. Myself and the people around said exactly the same thing about safe standing, standing in a place designed for sitting isn't safe, about time it was rectified.

Was so impressed by the way we managed the game and saw it out after going two up.

They say a two goal lead is a dangerous one but there was no complacency. Professional and assured performance.

The great thing about Jesus, I think, is that right now he is scoring, assisting, grafting for the team but what we aren't seeing is the other facets of his game, such as the ability to run at & beat players & also score 'golazo' type goals.

There is a whole other side to him which he is currently keeping in check, by just keeping it simple. We saw a couple of instances at 2-0 late on, one where he left 2 Leicester defenders for dead but was pulled back for a City free kick & another where he flicked the ball over Maguire, in the air, but was taken out (as Otamendi did when Jesus did it to him in an international).

He is really playing for the team & reining it in at the moment, but it will all come out, over time I recon. He is a bit special.

Totally agree.

Danny Murphy knows a bit about footy and when he said he's the biggest young talent he's seen since Messi, I did think wow.

You looked happy as you were singing when you came past me. Even tho all bandaged up. Hope you’re ok ?

You don't need to justify anything mate the shit decisions have have gone against us in the last few years are far beyond VK's tackle.
We were probably the first team to have a player sent off (Kevin Horlock) for aggressive walking.

Great win and I for one was nervous about this game. Gutted stones went off but we managed to scrape through with mangala. Onwards and upwards come on the City.
