Leicester (A) Post Match Thread

Still revelling in yesterday’s performance. I was genuinely worried about that fixture and had almost wrote it off. Had the excuse ready that it wasn’t a disaster to lose that fixture.

For me Leicester are the second best team in the league this year. I say that based on them being a more cohesive unit than United. Take Fernandes out of that team and they are significantly weakened. Loved the way we gave it out to Maddison too. 100% possession across a 6 minute period! This is the Premier League! We are witnessing a special team. I didn’t think it could get any better after 93.20.

I’ve changed my mind about the talk of the quadruple. Don’t get me wrong I still think it’s nonsense. I did think it was just the media setting us up for a fall, so they can claim our season is a failure if it doesn’t happen. Whilst there’s definitely an element of that, I think some people outside the club are genuinely starting to believe it which in itself is a compliment.

At this part of the season it is all about results and the best way to focus on that when you are winning is to not change your approach to each game - ie look to take control, be patient and ware the opposition down; this is exactly what we did yesterday. We have possibly about 13 14 games left to write our names down in history, as long as Pep doesn’t overthink things we could do it.

Fantastic 3 points against a team who usually play an absolute blinder when playing us. Football-wise, these are extraordinary times to be a Blue.

yep
we bossed the game and normally we don't play so well at Leicester and they boss us around
KDB was in the mood for a fight and put in some heavy stuff on the Leicester players even did a little bit of faking a foul hahahaha

the city players can handle themselves when they want to. for so such a quality outfit we don't fear the tackles
but for me its so so clear that a world class striker is needed. because that first half the game should have been over
the amount of possession and chances we created. the warning was right their when vardy got in and scored with his first chance right near the end of the half ? thank god for VAR hahaha

this is why i feel the quadruple is not on ? we just don't take enough of our chances and in bigger games you may only get a couple and must take both. its crazy to think the amount of wasted chances city players cough up. then a striker like vardy gets one chance puts it away. even if it was offside he still put it away
