Why does Navas continue to play near every match?
Eh? Navas has been playing really well. His pace and defensive ability will be key IMO

It's been pretty consistent against us since 2012 so have to disagree with your last sentence. We get a higher card/foul ratio, a higher card/tackle ratio and a higher foul/tackle ratio than any other side in the league, believe we've got the most first half yellow cards as well which inhibits our ability to defend effectively.
Don't explain my joke, it ruins it! :-PA good objective for all of us would be using the correct nouns. Subjective wasn't the correct adjective. :)
Not fit enough to start, hasn't trained much since the kick a couple of weeks agowould have had sterling instead of navas

Plenty of attacking options on the bench.

Look past 13/14, that was the penalty every game season for Liverpool, that was disgraceful and shocking. Look at the ratios as an aggregate across individual games. We have averaged something like 2.3 fouls a yellow in our matches while the opponents have averaged near 8.I believe you but the only season I can see where clearly you are overbooked is 13/14 when you were the most penalised team... you had to win the league against Liverpool who were the least (or second least) penalised team. This season so far is by far the worst since then...
As well as the early yellows, you should also look at players serving suspension... For example last week's reffing has meant that you miss 3 players suspended to play Leicester.
On merit?
