Howzit fellow Cityzens! Good to be here to share views! Definitely a tough game on Saturday, but if form is anything to go by in the premier league at the moment, we should be getting the job done at the king power....

If you cannot see the way we are attempting to play (which is still wip), then there is no point debating with you. Your not alone though, others are still struggling to stop looking backwards or expect instant results.
Calling one of our new players a clown or fucking shite in his first season says more about you than the player.

Watching Willy on Tues made me appreciate what Pep wants from a goalie & why Bravo is the man. Everytime Willy had the bill he dithered & ended up kicking the ball out - which came straight back, enabling Celtic to launch a quick attack. I think Pep knows best - which is why we're writing on here & he's not
 
2 minutes 37 seconds. Vardy chases long hoof, no danger, Kolarov and Bravo collide leaving Vardy to roll the ball into an empty net for his first goal in however long.
 
10 minutes gone and City are already 2-0 up after a Kelechi brace and the City fans start singing "Now the drugs don't work, they just make you worse and you will never win the league again".

Final score 3-2 Leicester.

As a guy who watches a lot of Leicester, I think Shinji Okazaki is genuinely their best player right now, and going off their forum a lot of their fans would agree.

I'm going to be optimistic and say we'll score two in the first half, and they'll score on 67:09 setting up a nervy finale which will be resolved when Sané scores on the break in injury time.
 
When you look at the fixtures of our rivals, most of which are home bankers, you've got to say, we've got to be looking to win this merely to tread water. I believe we will. We didn't play particularly well against Chelsea, but with Luiz getting sent off the way he should have in the first half, there's no way that's not a different game, and a different result. The man who's gone the most off the boil, without anyone particularly noticing it, is KDB. He was unstoppable in those first ten fixtures. He'll be back, as will everyone. We're still very much in the fight, but we've simply got to be winning this, with what look like far more difficult fixtures coming up this month.

Where I sit in East level 1, the majority believe that we've hugely regressed in the keeper department. It doesn't matter in what way the manager wants us to play out from the back. The simple fact is that if the opposition have a decent effort at goal the chances are it will will result in them scoring. We're gifting chances so it's fucking nailed on that Bravo will concede. I honestly don't believe we'll ever see him play a blinder
Just as one example, look at that Crystal Palace goal the other week.
If Pep wants someone good with their feet in goal who can pick a pass but isn't bothered if he isn't good enough making saves, then he should just chuck Yaya in nets (no I'm not being serious with that suggestion)
Most are putting Bravo in their predicted team because they know he will be first on the team sheet. Surely you can grasp that!
 
I'm firmly in the Joe Hart camp but we are where we are and Bravo is the man, like it or not, we have to get behind him and trust the best manager on the planet to pick the right people and bring the results in as the team adapts and his vision for us is realised. How about leaving it at that?
 
Bayern and Barca had the meanest defenses in their respective leagues. Surely, it must be down to the personnel than the system.

Whilst it's nothing to do with the Leicester game your point stands. A goalkeeper primarily has to be good at shot stopping. Bravo has been awful at that main part of his task and he's been average at passing out from the back. Whether he's struggling to adjust I don't know, but he's been a lot poorer than I thought he would be. Joe never stood a chance because of his passing game, but as we are right now two things are clear; a) we are conceding far too easily and from shots Hart probably saves in some cases and; b) that passing out from the back style of play is not leading to us scoring more goals and is putting us in danger at the back still.

You've got to give things time though. Pep knows that b) will be the case more often that not until the team fully understands how he wants them to play and Bravo needs time, as any player would to adjust to the league. You've also got to allow him some flexibility as he's had a hell of a lot of different defensive combinations in front of him. That causes issues.

Pep has been experimenting to see what works and what doesn't and I fully expect that we'll see that continue into the new year. He won't be happy with how poor we've been at times but he doesn't nail one formation and stick, he tries several as that allows us to evolve during games. We've got the players to improve. We desperately need a win this weekend ahead of a busy Christmas schedule. We really need to start taking our chances.

I think we will without Aguero in the side and I think he's going to have a real struggle to get back in come the 31st. We've managed before without him and when he's come back our forms dropped, in fact I think it was over a Christmas period where we used Milner as a false 9 even at one point. He's world class but our team doesn't always play better with him in the side than without.
