Scoring early and often has been the problem all season and why we've drawn so many games.

Would rather start with a player in an attacking spot that's scored a goal this decade and bring on Navas late with a lead and some counter attacking space, than sub off later when we're in need of a goal.
Navas pretty much scored last week.

it really is a tale of two halves with city. You look at the forward line and midfield and think christ how are gonna stop this lot and then look at the defense and think oh that's how. It's terrible how shit our backline hasn't been fixed for 3 years or so
Our defence are OK, we don't let more in than the top for teams, only the rag media highlight them as bad. Our attackers need to kill the game off.

Very true. After the match against Chelsea nearlyall of the headlines (and stories, to be fair) were "CHELSEA BATTERS CITY". Couldn't have been a more inaccurate narrative if they had said Dickov scored our lone goal.

But I still think we could improve considerably in defense.

The issue with our defense is that too many that we let in are comic capers e.g. Oto running past Costa and around him whilst turning like a Sherman tank.

It really isn't though, sides only need 1 or 2 attempts to score against us. Look at the attempts to goals conceded ratio for us against the other top 4 teams.

Was thinking the same thing. When he has played he has impressed... except in one way, which might be why Pep doesn't quite trust him right now.

Could do with his movement and work rate imo. Would like sane to get a decent run in the team as well

We may not let that many in but those that we do let are are often very preventable. It's the whole sides fault at the minute. Stupid suspensions, poor finishing and a lack of team pressing at times added to the sloppy defending and we are probably 7 points worse off than we should be on play.
