It’s not the one loss, it’s the manner in how WE lost it.
Totally unacceptable and naive.

Agreed! It’s not just about getting beat, it’s how the team played that made it worse! I felt less confident when I seen the team to be honest.

This is a must win after pep bizarre compo cost man city 6 points against Chelsea and CP ( yesterday pep should started KDB Bernardo and Delph with Zinkenko as LB)

Ederson
Danilo
Laporte
Kompany
Fernandinho
KDB
Gundogan
Mahrez
Aguero
Sane

Ederson
Danilo
Stones
Laporte
Delph
Fernandinho
D Silva
De Bruyne
Sane
Sterling
Jesus

Be great if Spanish Dave is back but not hopeful, other than that thats the team I would play. At some point I would try and get Jesus and Sergio in the same starting line up.

We desperately need to start keeping clean sheets let's hope this is the first of many. Kev to start as we need some creativity and impetus in Midfield.

This will be a difficult game and I will take a dour gritty 1 nil win. A deflected Kev shot that comes off Jesus's arse.

Jesus will be in an offside position :)

It's easy to spot some of the key mistakes that have been made in the leadup to yesterday's game.

Firstly, the arrogant decision not to buy a proper backup for Fernandinho has left us in the lurch when he, aged 33, inevitably got injured. We missed him immeasurably yesterday.

Second, the choice not to trust Foden in Premier League games. Yesterday with Silva and De Bruyne out we needed someone who can offer more forward drive in their place and Foden, the most obvious stylistic alternative, was benched again.

Third, Pep's insistence on chopping and changing the defence whenever he can. Stones-Laporte was an amazing partnership earlier this season, we kept six consecutive league clean sheets with them mostly starting together at the back and they've barely kept one since, which has seen our defensive record utterly collapse. Why?

It's not too late to rectify these mistakes and win the title but if Fernandinho gets injured on February 2nd and we haven't signed anyone we're utterly fucked.
