Leicester City 2016/17

Did you not read / hear about the £250 million investment in City from Chinese businessmen earlier in the year?

We also have one of the highest incomes per annum of any club in the world, let alone England.

Fair enough then. But if rich dudes pumping dough in is part of your legitimate income, why cant we all do it. I'd be interested to know how you get such a massive income. When travelling here or abroad, there are never masses of MCFC shirts to be seen, as you do with Man U, Liverpool Arse, and more so in recent years Chelsea. This suggests that merchandising isnt a major factor. Also, you dont fill your ground every week, and dont charge Arsenal prices, so gate reciepts dont provide a massive amount. It is a cery strange rule.

City issued more shares which the Chinese firm bought. That diluted ADUG's holding and gave the Chinese investors a reported stake of 13% in City. Businesses use the capital markets to raise money to invest in their business and a football club could do likewise. I think City did it because they liked the terms: a lot of money for an insignificant loss of euity, and to gain a strategic foothold in important markets, but as far as I understand it for Financial Play purposes it is not allowable income.

I don't see why any Manchester City fan would have an objection to Leicester buying players. What annoys me at times is that the media turns a blind eye to others doing the same. CUNTS.City's rise coincided with a an explosion in transfer fees which massively distorts historical comparisons. Utd broke transfer record after transfer record when the record was £2 million. If you were to index transfer spending, I don't think City's spending would be that extraordinary.
Yeah the Rags buying Veron for 28M (snigger) in 1928 springs to mind. Cunnts

Ah, a Sun reader. Presumably your ground is bursting at the seams then, and has done for years? Just asking.

I was thinking about players like Garry Pallister which was £2.5m..a massive then and Bryan Robson £1.5m. Roy Keane £3m. You can't compare club's transfer records in different era, but of course the media do this.

We spent money to build our team and establish ourselves as every other club have done, with one or two exceptions. Leicester didn't do it that way. But they are the exception. To stay where they are they will need to spend big and offer big wages to retain their players. I am sure they know that.

Yeah, we do fill the ground. You might be best on a utd forum where they go in for all that bullshit.

I was actually finding him a decent bloke until he came out with that shite.
They all slip eventually. We're stuck with the emptihad jibes forever I'm afraid. The fact our attendances are up there with the highest in Europe doesn't really matter when you can lazily claim we've got no fans.
I don't think I could have less respect for a grown up who tries to belittle a club because of what he's heard on Talksport or read in The Sun.
