A wins a win, all be it against relegation fodder. It’s glaringly obvious we need 2 decent midfielders and a RB.
Why the fuck would you want us to sell a good young lad who pep trustDo I really need to answer that?
Can’t believe you’ve written it tbh.
It’s such a reductive line to trot out mate.
We might as well pack up half the City threads on here.
I’ve said that a few times about Phil. I think he’s suffering still. Long COVID symptoms maybe?I’d agree with a lot of that tbf.
(I also mentioned it in the match thread but I’ve got a trace memory of reading earlier in the season Foden had a bad bout of covid. If he’s struggled to ever fully recover from that, it could be factor in his performances since)
He’s hardly had more than 2 minutes previously. You can’t blow that!Onwards and upwards - what do pro's say - one game at a time and see where the cards fall in May. Great to see McAtee playing well...needed that as he has blown a few opportunities he's had this season..well done son
Yes, he did very well ..... especially that part he played in Haalands goal. Not much to say, mcatee did well
I’ve already explained my reasons to you mate, in my reply to you back on p39 of this thread, no point in me repeating it.Why the fuck would you want us to sell a good young lad who pep trust
That is what I saw. Agreed. This result is good for confidence, but the performance from some was dreadful, Phil most of all for me, yes he had the shot that led to us taking the lead, but I was pleased when he was taken, didn't really attack, and couldn't be arsed helping defensively.
Sainho's best game after the poor effort against Everton, Bernardo worked hard (but miles off his best), Ake as always (hope it's the same fatigue as Thursday), Lewis good in bits, poor in others, Haaland worked harder than normal, but it's currently quite a low bar, hopefully the goal will boost his confidence. Kovacic did well enough in the one man midfield, but he's not Rodri (nor close).
Akanji is out of form, but I trust him, Gvardiol goes from the sublime to the ridiculous. KdB still tries his best, but it's gone for me, some of his passes were terrible, even the short ones.
The overall thing today that stood out to me was our giving the ball away, and our lack of composure in possession is a real worry.
The big positive was McAtee, not lumbered by the recent form.
Perhaps he is a decent bloke, no idea I've never met himI think City get judged harshly. Every team in the Premier League has excellent footballers who will create a chance or two expecially at home. We aren't going to get through a game without conceding a break or a shot. Teams are also excellent at getting through a press now (where ours is lacking at the moment is the second press as our midfield has no legs and the wingers dont contribute as much as they used to) but there were a couple of positive signs today - KdB mugged one of theirs on the edge of the box which he hasn't done for ages.
Foden took a couple of balls pinged into him on the half turn and was a bit more direct than usual. Savinho took his chance quite nicely. Ake looks in decent form. Gvardiols headed back pass was a little short but I think he was expecting Ortega to be a bit more assertive. There were even people moving for the players taking throw ins and we didn't immediately concede possession from them.
But the most alarming thing for me was seeing van Nistelrooy interacting with Pep and our players and seeming like a decent guy
So you didnt go back and read...proves my point....I listed a number of positives...maybe take a look at yourself and your own mindset (defensive, aggressive whatever) as you clearly ignored the positives I put and would rather just have a pop at someone .....KDB was poor....he has been all season and today was no differentFuck off you negative prick..
You slated Kevin..you always have a pop at some player...
Hope you support them better at the game..
