Leicester City (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Not great by any stretch of the imagination but three points is all that matters, top four is what it's about now.

Finally. Got to use that as a springboard now. Push on and secure top 4.

Not pretty. Still huge deficiencies in this side but we just needed the result.

Chuffed for Savinho getting his 1st goal.

Haaland worked his balls off and got the killer goal.

Our midfield needs major surgery. Hopefully we have at least 1 CM lined up for Jan.

We’re still worryingly poor off of the ball, but this is one of those seasons when we need to find ways to win games and regroup in the summer.

Also, it was one of those rare moments where even Bluemoon got it right and was baffled by McAtee’s lack of a chance despite everyone’s underperformance. He provided a spark we desperately needed. I’m Foden’s biggest fan, and I don’t think he’s played nearly as badly today or throughout the season as some have implied, but I hope McAtee’s involvement kicks him up the ass. I’m happy that Savio finally got the goalless drought off his back. He looked confident all game, even more so after he scored.

I’m concerned about Gvardiol. I thought we looked far more solid against Forest when Pep played Ake at LB and Gvardiol in his ‘natural’ position at CB. I’m not sure why he hasn’t returned to that position since.

Lastly, a massive shoutout to the blues who were there; loud and proud would be an understatement.

Not a good performance at all and not much (if anything) to build on, but 3 important points and some breathing room going forward. Hopefully it takes some of the pressure off the players and we can improve from now on!

First hour was same old, same old, but managed to get ahead.

Bit lucky not to concede, but the second goal was crucial and we started to play a bit more freely.

Shout out to McAtee, who helped create the second goal.

Really happy for Savinho too. Hopefully that’s the catalyst for him to kick on now.

Haaland looked 10 times better for having scored.

Never forget that despite how shit a run we are on, we are still 9 points ahead of the rags.

Average performance, but it's more points on the board and one game closer to January when we can start the rebuild.

About time we did a job on a team who missed all their chances instead of it being us. Glad we saw it out after Kyle came on.

A better team would have beaten us today but we know the reasons why. Hopefully January solves 50% of them and we can kick on.
