Just looked at the line up for the 2-5 game.

Defence included Garcia, Ake and Mendy and the one who is usually solid (Walker) had a mare!

No wonder we got hammered.

Ake had a half decent game that day if I recall correctly.

Winning the Leicester game would give us renewed momentum going into the Dortmund game. Don't look too far ahead.

Anyway we don't need to win the CL tie in the first leg. Get the league sorted first IMHO.

League is all but won. Losing to Leicester will be a small step back but losing to Dortmund or taking only a narrow 2-1 lead to Germany will give me pains in head, heart and gut till the tie is over.

3 penalties in the one game says a bit as well.

You are always going to have blips although after a shaky start I believe largely due to the fact we had little time to prepare for the season and took a while to organise a winning combination without our two strikers and drew a line in the sand after the Spurs game which all good sides do amongst other events that went against us.

Fast forward 4 months and who is complaining now.

if we are on our game we will comfortably win this notwithstanding Leicester at home are vulnerable and are missing Maddison , Barnes and Justin two of whom played significant roles last time around.

He was OK, looked like Baresi compared to the idiots around him though.

I’d fancy us in this game, though it won’t be easy and may depend on the condition of players returning from the Internationals - they probably have a higher proportion of first teamers away than we do looking at their call ups

Yeah the South American thing works better for us than most. Not so long ago it could have been near half our squad staying home.
