Leicester City (H) - Post-Match Thread

I don’t remember seeing this City side under Pep show such a different performance level from one half to the next. It’s almost impossible that we can be that good for the opening 45 mins and then so bad for the next 45.

The midfield and forward line were sensational for the 1st half and an utter embarrassment for the 2nd. Fern, Gundo, KDB, Bernie, Sterling and Mahrez just decided to stop playing. I don’t care how good we are, we will struggle against anyone if half of the team just decide that they can’t be arsed for 45 mins. Not overly impressed that Pep just sat there and watched it happen either.

Off day, weird game.

We scored with 2 pens and 2 set pieces.

Got lazy at half time for sure and made so many errors defensively.

Pep will give them a talk then move on, no time to dwell with another game so close.

Energy saving and complacency

Raz kept playing

We played some scintillating football in the first half.

Shame about the goals conceded, up until today it looked like we might break the record.

What a game, credit to Leicester for not folding but we have to be stronger at the back.

For me, given circumstance, another full back with pace should be on the agenda for summer too. Not to diss zinchenko, I think all the back four were great and then missing at times today, but we need some pace to cover when teams want to do that to us.

Going forward we're great, sterling the most dangerous for us which is good to see. Was speechless when they had a var check for that last goal, if they'd disallowed that for a handball or a foul then surely they'd have had to award another penalty for holding Dias (and he still shrugged two of them off and won the header!)
