Probably as much as Rodrigo does. I prefer Rodrigo in that position but we don't know about his fitness levels and he hasn't really proved very effective against counter attacking games thus far.

Fair enough on that, I just don’t think Ilkay is better as a DM, so they may be able to lob and pass.

We cant go 7 points behind Leicester that would also mean that Liverpool could be 20 points above us very soon as they wont drop points.

While we have Wolves and Sheffield games coming up and those arent easy.

Foden over Mahrez would have been a perfect team for me.

i agree & he’s shown more energy in his last few games than gundy & Mahrez have all season. I would also take him over Bernardo at the minute which kills me to say.

going to be an interesting first 25 mins as I see Leicester going for it fast from the start.

Looks like it. We didn't exactly defend united's counter attacks well when Rodri started instead of Gundogan. I think Bernardo's energy in midfield will make a difference.

Im not too fussed with who starts at DM. Both players play the position well in possession. So I'm not worried. It's Mahrez over Foden that I'm more dissapointed about.

Our intensity drops significantly without Foden.

Liverpool also have Leicester, Wolves and Sheffield in their next 3 games aswell lol, I might be a moron but I can see them drop some points soon enough
