Leicester City - pre-match thread

Bloody hell, touched a nerve..

All the bluster in the world doesn't alter the fact that LCFC dicked a lot of local businesses and paid them fuck all. For your information, I live in Leicester my friend, have done for 20 years since moving from Manchester, so my information doesn't come from the red tops as you assume, it comes from talking to people who were actually affected by it.

Your club is one of the prime reasons why FFP was brought in, which MY club has been shafted by ever since. The difference however, is that we spend real money, whereas LCFC spent its creditors money.

You can't sugar coat this and blame a single players agent, that's just bullshit (and why shouldn't he be entitled to want his money when it falls due?).

Kisses x
I suggest you try talking to people who actually understand what went on, rather than those either misinformed, or straight out liars. Your arguments so far have been littered with so many errors you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. You could have lived here for 50 years, if you're wrong you're wrong.

As for being bullshit... the facts are there, his names on the court documents, the articles were written. Nobody took the easy route, he removed the option of paying people back over time by issuing the winding up order.

The "amount of local rags", brilliant... a casual racist as well.

See my other reply, read the Birbeck report into your clubs shady actions, then talk to me.

As for racist, fuck off, in what way have I been racist?

Think he's misinterpreted what a 'rag' is

A rag is what we call our noisy neighbours

Fucking hell mate, as a Blue, you should know how it feels to be blamed for everything our Club does or doesn't do. The fact remains though, that we didn't go under, so no comparison.

I'm not blaming the Leicester fans, I live in Leicester mate, and most of 'em are sound. But trust me, I've had the Emptyhad/Sugar Daddy/Dirty Oil money thrown at me big style. The amount of local Rags down here that have now all of a sudden become LCFC fans is laughable.

It's the Leicester love in I'm on about, when their history of default on debts is forgotten, and they've become the dahlings of English football. There's regular people down here who are still suffering because they chose the easy route to administration.

But this is something I don't want to get into a bun-fight with fellow Blues about..

Fair enough if you've been getting it in the neck from Leicester fans peddling a holier-than-thou attitude but I don't see why it should be brought into this thread as I don't see any Leicester fans on here slating what our club is doing. Your post appears to imply that it's Leicester-based United fans that are the issue more than Leicester fans themselves.

He's not being racist. When he says "rags" he means United fans.

A rag is a **** irrespective of colour or creed, no racism there pal

Extract taken from the Birbeck report into Football League Clubs finances, the findings of which led to the creation of FFP as we know it today. Remind me, how are things going with your clubs current FFP negotiations?

Administration is the process whereby failed companies which are unable to meet their financial obligations are given protection from their creditors whilst being “administered” by an insolvency practitioner until such time as they are re-structured; this often means that they pay only a fraction of their nonfootball-related debts. Football related debt must be paid in full if membership of the leagues is to be maintained in the future. Sporting sanctions (points’ penalties for clubs that enter administration) were introduced by both the Premier League and Football League because of a perceived abuse of the administration process. The most notable case was Leicester City who entered administration in October 2002, wrote off in excess of £30 million of debt, kept their best players, and were promoted back to the Premier League at the end of the 2002/2003 season; whilst promotion rival Nottingham Forest, who continued to meet the payments on their debt, did not go into administration, and narrowly avoided promotion, were perceived to have been disadvantaged as a result. To this extent sporting sanctions represent a welcome development by demonstrating the willingness of the Football League and the Premier League to address seriously the problem of poor, or even opportunistic, financial management practices.

Not exactly as you are telling it my friend..
I'm telling you exactly as it is.

So, we kept our best players and yet we sold £15m worth, accepted offers on Muzzy Izzet and put the whole team up for sale? You do realise that from the point we entered administration, the administrator is in total control of the finances of the club including player sales and they can sell whom they want to don't you?

That alone, completely rubbishes that whole passage. If you don't believe me, here's an article confirming the accepted bid on Izzet, that also states he'd been transfer listed since October. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11680/2230648/boros-izzet-bid-accepted

As for Forest, they were allowed to restructure their debts. An option that was taken away from us as already stated, I've already provided you with the link as proof of that.

Again, go and educate yourself with facts rather than hyperbole.

I'll take your word for it, the use around here means something totally different.

..........

Sorry about going off on one about the admin thing, but I can't abide people who make out like their informed when they have absolutely no idea what they are talking about.

The real story was never told by the mass media other than one or two jounos who bothered to look at facts rather than great headlines. It pissed off all Leicester fans and continues to do so.

Just putting it out there mate, that is all. Our club is the butt of all things evil in football, but there's others, such as Leicester, who've got a much more chequered past.

Anyway, 3-0 City x
