We should have no interest in Chilwell or Söyüncü on that showing.

FFS Mahrez

I know I'll get slated for this, as he scored and everyone's feeling positive after a big win, but I didn't end tonight's match more impressed with Mahrez or thinking he's going to go on and hit form. He had Chilwell on toast, and that was fun to watch, but he butchered so many goalscoring opportunities which could easily have come back and cost us the game, so many counter attacks wasted, and a big deflected goal doesn't erase that wastefulness.

I thought this game summed up everything he can do, and everything he frustrates with.

I think he was equal parts brilliant and frustrating, so “FFS Mahrez” is still fair.

If we want to see what he could genuinely be, if he could just make better decisions and not float in and out, we just have to look to Kev.
