I agree. I think we have roughly equivalent fixtures. Leicester home = Wolves home, Brighton away is =/< Newcastle away. On top of that we have a point lead and superior goal difference, the strongest squad, less games and more rest and a serial winning coach.
As a neutral or bookie, you would back us.
As a lifelong City fan I will just flap like fuck (until we win it ;-) ).

Are you sure, Brighton/Newcastle the same? Brighton are wank, Newcastle at StJames are not, the Wolves and Leicester games are closer to being similar as both could yet grab a Europa spot, but we could assist Wolves in their quest by beating Leicester, and obviously would need to do so again by beating Watford at Wembley.

if we beat Leicester we've beaten every team in the league this season, and in consecutive seasons, how many teams have done this.

Kasper Schmeichel step forward!

Indubitably. But the scars run deep in some of us ‘oldies!’
Indeed. But scars heal and fade over time. As an oldie myself I feel we should now think 'win some lose some' and move on from the belief we are somehow cursed. We left the gypsy curse behind years ago now. No need for exorcisms now.

Newcastle have 25 points at home this season, Brighton 23. I would say that’s pretty close especially as we gave the barcodes 3 of those points.

And again I agree with you. I’m actually quite hopeful in the run up to any match, be it Barcelona or utd, but as soon as the whistle blows a black cloud rears it’s ugly head. But, that too, is diminishing.

I honestly think they will get beat at Newcastle. Barca will run them ragged. Just imagine the atmosphere at the Etihad knowing we beat Leicester and it's done!!!

Yes, Walker must be on Vardy, whatever the formation. Slightly worried about Sane, didn't play too well at Burnley. Will he turn out to be a wasted talent?

No. One quiet game doesn't make him a wasted talent. He scored the vital second goal the game before away at the swamp... it was not so much him failing to make an impact as Zinchenko and Laporte failing to play a pass to his feet throughout the first half! He is a quality player and I would play him at home to Leicester.

As a City fan for 50+ years, “overly cautious” has been drilled into me by the team itself!

While I agree, we have not been “Typical City” in quite some time, it is exactly times like this that bring out “Typical City!”

Even going into the last game 3 points ahead, I would be thinking “How many might they score against Wolves?!” and expect Brighton to get on the end of a free kick, cross or corner at the end of a 0-0 stalemate full of heroic defending by them!!!

Sorry, mate, CITY DID THIS TO ME!! ;-)
Unfortunately pal, City did this to all of us over a certain age. ;-)
