Made some good saves. Almost got something on the penalty. Ake played well for most of the game until the penalty was conceded but hopefully just less rust after this game.

Typical pre season game. Misplaced passes from both sides and in the end it came down to that one mistake by Ake. As a footnote we didn't make Schmeickle make a meaningful save in the whole 90 minutes outside of the 1st half freekick. Am I disappointed course I am, but as players trickle back from holidays and get to full fitness we will be a completely different animal. I thought the two young lads did very well especially second half and I'm sure their displays will stand them both in good stead moving forward.
